Theresa May is looking forward to life after Brexit — so she can watch more cricket

THERESA May has finally revealed how much she is looking forward to life after Brexit – so she can spend more time watching cricket.

Wearing a bright yellow summery dress as she spoke to schoolchildren for a ‘Kids PMQs’, the PM said she also wanted to do more walking with husband Philip May as well as “a bit more cooking”.

Mrs May famously decided to call her disastrous snap General Election during a walking holiday with Philip in Snowdonia over Easter in 2017.

She appeared like a weight had been lifted as she took questions from schoolchildren as part of Sky News programme FYI.

Mrs May will stand down as PM in the last week of July after the Tories have elected her successor.

Admitting that Brexit had taken up a huge amount of her energy since taking office in 2016, she said: “I’ll probably have a little bit more time to do some other things outside of politics.”

The PM said she was looking forward to doing “some of these other things, walking with my husband, cooking – I want to do a bit more cooking.
