NIGEL Farage has said Boris Johnson will not deliver his Brexit promises as the next Prime Minister.

The Brexit Party chief believes Johnson has "been playing the role of Sensible, Dull Boris" in a bid to win the Tory leadership contest.

While Farage said he has "little doubt that Boris will win", he said BoJo might end up letting the British public down like predecessor Theresa May.

Writing in the , he said: "When I hear Boris say we will leave on the 31st of October, I am reminded that Mrs May told us 108 times that we would leave on the 29th of March."

He added: "Even if Boris Johnson becomes party leader and prime minister, the best we are likely to get from these Tories is a rehash of Mrs May’s appalling Withdrawal Agreement; a warmed-over version of her worst deal in history.

"There seems little chance of the Conservatives delivering on Boris’s firm promise that we will leave the EU on 31st October."

'DULL BORIS'

Boris has gone into the second week of the Tory leadership campaign as the clear favourite to succeed Mrs May.

But none of the five other remaining candidates appear to show any signs of giving up just yet.

Jeremy Hunt, who came second in the first round, told the Mail on Sunday that he's "in it to win it".

And Michael Gove, who came back from disclosures over his past cocaine use, finished third.

He described himself as the "Chumbawamba candidate", a reference to the band's hit Tubthumping, with the lyric "I get knocked down but I get up again".

But in a bid to hold out an olive branch to Boris, Gove said he would happily serve under him.

PM-frontrunner Boris Johnson vowed to pull Britain out on October 31, even though Eurocrats are convinced he will backtrack.

EU leaders are apparently thinking of signing off a short extension, meaning a "controlled No Deal" could last until 2020, the reported.
