Ascot 2019: Weather today

It'll should be a much better day for punters at looking to put a bet on the gee gees today with mainly sunshine for most of the day.

Highs of around 21C will grace the Berkshire racecourse today as a marked change to earlier in the week.

It's expected to be sunny for most of the day with warm temperatures but things could turn slightly cloudy later in the day.

This comes as Britain was warned to batten down the hatches after the Met Office warned the UK will be struck by 36 hours of thunderstorms.

The South, East and Central parts of England will be worst hit - with residents warned that their homes and businesses could be flooded or affected by power cuts.

It's not all bad news though, as conditions could brighten up ever so slightly today although the Met Office’s yellow weather warning stays in place.
