The wife of reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter, Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in November 2017.

Despite having successful surgery, doctors told her the cancer had returned and she started chemotherapy in December last year.

Yesterday, her husband Duane Chapman - aka Dog the Bounty Hunter - took to Twitter and asked his fans: "Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you".

And now the pair's daughter has taken to Instagram to update the public, after travelling to Hawaii on Sunday when she heard the news about her mother's hospitalisation.

She wrote on her Instagram story: "There's not much of an update I can give, I can say she's getting good care.

"I know you guys wanted more, but y'know it's a coma, not much can be updated."

She also shared a 2018 photo of her parents kissing.

She wrote: "If you haven't heard, my mother in an induced coma.

"Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers."

In April, Chapman was again rushed to hospital in Hawaii with "serious breathing issues".

Duane, 66, previously told Fox News his family's faith and beliefs were what was keeping them all going at such a difficult time.

He said: "Faith is probably the No. 1 thing in our lives, no matter what we’re faced with...

"Through this cancer episode, we had to drum up as much faith as we could. And the Bible talks about having faith as small as a mustard seed.

"And that’s not much... And I thank God that we had at least that much faith to get her through that.";
