Mum left stunned when girl, five, asked her what a ‘f***yousaurus’ was on her BBC kids’ dino poster
A MUM was stunned when her five-year-old asked her what a “f***yousaurus” was from a BBC kids’ dino poster.
Diane Younger, 39, bought CBeebies Magazine for her daughter Charlotte to keep her amused while they got their car fixed.
It came with a “Dino A-Z poster”, but when Charlotte got to F she blurted out the rude word in the garage waiting room.
Embarrassed mortgage advice manager Diane was forced to apologise to the other customers.
She then checked the poster and realised Charlotte had tried to say fukuisaurus, a herbivore from Japan which is pronounced “foo-koo-eye-sore-us”.
Mum-of-two Diane, from Werrington, Staffs, said: “I was quite red-faced and had to explain to the other people that she didn’t swear and that she was trying to pronounce the dinosaur. I had a little laugh and did see the funny side.”

The only other dinosaur starting with F is a fukuiraptor, and Diane believes the letter would be best left out.
She said: “I do think they could have skipped F if the only two dinosaurs sound rude. I bet more children have said similar to Charlotte and maybe they should just be a little bit careful in future.
“I do vet the things I let my children see, even when they use KidTube (the children’s version of YouTube). I didn’t think I would have to do that with this magazine but I’ll make sure to in the future.”
