Private Caribbean island used to promote the infamous Fyre Festival with models Hayley Baldwin and Emily Ratajkowski goes on sale for £10million

A MASSIVE private island used to bill the infamous Fyre festival has gone on sale for £9.5million.

Saddle Back Cay was used to promote the festival - with supermodels Hayley Baldwin and Emily Ratajkowski among the celebrities snapped posing on its sandy beaches.

The 35-acre island is located in Exuma, Bahamas, and boasts seven houses along with "compelling views over the best seascapes in the world.

Potential owners will have to stump up £9.38million to pick up the "iconic" island.

Although it was used to promote the festival, the island didn't actually host any events.

The exclusive festival was billed as three days giving punters access to luxury private beaches.

Fyre Festival, sold as an "immersive music festival", was promoted using a host of supermodels beloved by millions.

The gourmet food they were promised turned out to be to pieces of toast, two slices of cheese and a handful of salad in a takeaway box.

Organiser Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to wire-fraud charges in relation to Fyre Festival in March 2018.

He was sentenced to six years in jail and ordered to forfeit £20million.
