Baby Archie makes first appearance in the official royal diary — but Meghan and Harry hide godparents’ names
ROYAL baby Archie Harrison made his first appearance in the official court circular on Monday but Meghan and Harry have still kept secret who they picked to be godparents.
The two-month-old tot made his debut in the diary of royal engagements following his christening at the weekend.
But whilst previous mentions of the baptisms of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children included a full list of their godparents, Archie’s did not.
Just 25 guests attended the service in the Queen’s tiny chapel in Windsor and Harry and Meghan later shared two images of the adorable royal baby with their nine million Instagram followers.
The Archbishop of Canterbury christened Archie using water from the River Jordan.
The Duke and Duchess have not revealed who they picked as godparents, however Harry’s pal Charlie van Straubenzee and his former nanny Tiggy Pettifer are suspected to have been chosen.
The entry, published on Monday, read: “The Baptism of the Infant Son of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took place at 11.00 a.m. this morning in the Private Chapel, Windsor Castle.
“The Archbishop of Canterbury baptised the Baby who received the names Archie Harrison.”
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is seventh in line to the throne.
During the christening on Sunday the baby wore the royal christening robe – a handmade replica of the 19th century fine Honiton lace and white satin gown made for Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter.
