HARDCORE Remainer Dominic Grieve today admitted he may quit the Tory party if Boris Johnson becomes PM.
The former minister suggested it could be impossible for him to stay and support a Brexiteer leader.
If he did switch sides in the event of a BoJo victory, the new PM would see his Commons majority reduced to just TWO.
Mr Grieve is one of a handful of Tory MPs who are pushing for a second referendum to overturn Brexit.
Asked today if he could stay in the party under Mr Johnson, he : "I think it may be very difficult for me to remain.
"But I don't wish to leave the Conservative Party - of which I have been a member for 47 years.
"I would wait to see what he says and does, but... the reality of where we are in view of where I think he is likely to take us is going to mean I suspect it's going to be very difficult for me to do so."
Mr Grieve, the former Attorney General, has previously threatened to back a vote of no-confidence in the new PM to block a No Deal Brexit.
