Wimbledon 2019 weather forecast today: Sunny spells and highs of 24C for day 12

THE 2019 Wimbledon Championships inch ever closer to the grand finale this weekend, and the weather looks like it will be a dry day for everyone.

But will tennis fans be able to eat strawberries and cream on Henman Hill in glorious sunshine or will a brolly be needed? Here's the latest...

What's the latest Wimbledon weather forecast?

The current weather forecast for day 12 by the predicts a bright day, without too much cloud.

There is slight risk of rain in the late morning at around 11am but that will clear by the afternoon.

Temperatures for today, July 12, will bring a high of 24C to SW19 in the afternon.

After a few days of a high pollen count hay fever sufferers will be pleased to know that today the level is slightly better at medium.

A lot can change weather-wise as we head towards the final weekend of the tournament, so make sure you keep checking back on Sun Online for the latest weather updates.

When did Wimbledon 2019 start?

This year's tournament will be held at the All England Club in SW19.

First round matches got underway on Monday, July 1.

After a fortnight of competition, it all ends with the men's final being held on Sunday, July 14.

How can I get tickets?

The ballot for tickets for Wimbledon 2019 has now closed.

But even if you've missed out, that doesn't mean that you can't take part in the action.

Wimbledon remains one of the only major sporting events in the UK that still sells tickets on the day of play.

All you have to do is get down to the All England Club and, in true British style, get in the queue.

A limited number of tickets are available daily for Centre Court, No1 Court and No2 Court - except for the last four days on Centre Court, when all are sold in advance.

So there's none available for the main courts today.

Each day there are also several thousand ground passes available.

These allow the user unlimited access to the outside courts and cost just £15 on Friday 12 and Saturday 13, and just £8 on the final day.
