THE dad of the man accused of slitting Bianca Devins's throat had threatened to kill his wife in 2010.
Brandon Clark, 21, allegedly murdered the Instagram star at her home in New York and posted pictures of her dead body online.
According to CNYCentral, Brandon's dad, Jason W. Clark reportedly held his wife, Michelle, hostage for 10 hours nine years ago.
Cops said he told them he was holding her at knifepoint and kept threatening to "cut her throat".
Michelle Clark, Brandon's mum, said: "He wanted to make sure police knew he had the knife to my jugular.
"I thought he was going to kill me."
Jason said he was also going to take his own life using the knife - it is unclear if Brandon was present during the incident.
He was charged with felony assault, criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful imprisonment and aggravated criminal contempt — as well as misdemeanour menacing and obstructing governmental administration.

Prosecutors reportedly offered him a plea deal, which got Clark a shortened sentence of two to four years in prison.
He would not elaborate Wednesday when questioned by CNYCentral about the case.
Brandon, who is charged with second-degree murder, faces up to life in prison if convicted. Authorities believe he killed Devins after seeing her kiss another man at a concert in Queens.
The 21-year-old allegedly killed Devins, 17, by slitting her throat and then tried to do the same to himself.
Authorities managed to stop him, though, and he was rushed to a local hospital in time to be saved from his injuries.
Utica police told CNYCentral that they have no indication at the moment that Brandon was inspired to kill Devins by what happened with his father.
The incident reportedly started over a dispute between him and Brandon’s mother, which ended with Clark laying his hands on her.
Michelle’s mother, who lived with them at the time, called police and they arrived on the scene to find Clark with the knife — claiming he was “going to die tonight.”
HERE COMES HELL
Brandon is claimed to have pretended to be Bianca's boyfriend when he got to her home in Utica.
Cops claim he shared images of her corpse on the morbid 4chan posting board with the caption "I'm sorry Bianca."
Bianca - who amassed 35,000 followers with two Instagram accounts - is thought to have died on Sunday morning.
Officers reportedly found Brandon by the side of a road holding a knife.
Before he was arrested he posted a chilling Instagram story captioned "here comes hell".
He reportedly claimed to have murdered his girlfriend and said he wanted to harm himself.
Bianca's grieving sister Liv wrote: "I hate that I have to write this.
