'VANITY' CABINET

Jeremy Hunt told to swallow his pride and accept whatever job he is given by Boris Johnson

JEREMY Hunt was told to swallow his pride by Brexiteers and accept whatever job he’s given by Boris Johnson rather than cause trouble for the likely PM.

Jacob Rees-Mogg said it would be “vanity” if Mr Hunt refused to accept a demotion from his current job of Foreign Secretary.

The arch Eurosceptic said: “I think that Jeremy should accept whatever he is offered.

“Previously Jeremy Hunt has indicated that he will only serve in the highest offices – I think that’s a vanity.

“ I think people have to rally round, support the country and the party, and accept the new leader.”

The Sun revealed on Monday Boris will sack Mr Hunt if he wins by a large margin.
