The pals had trapped the critter under a tub, but were unable to use their kitchen due to their fear of spiders.

Growing desperate they offered a reward for any “brave soul” who was able to banish the creepy crawler from their flat.

On Facebook they wrote: “Does any brave soul fancy coming to get rid of this spider that we trapped in our kitchen last night”.

“We’re on Gladstone Terrace and we are currently unable to use our kitchen because we both hate spiders”.

“Will get you some snacks or alcohol in exchange for evicting our new unwanted tenant”.

Kind-hearted neighbour Mesoul was able to come by and release the spider outside without killing it.

Punters on social media found the appeal hilarious and horrifying.

One wrote: “Ugh why are they so big this year! We had a chonk of a spider last week!”

And another said: “One of these guys ran across my living room floor the other night and scared me half to death.

“I hit him with a book, seemed to do the trick.”

And earlier in August we revealed .

We told how because they think the summer is a washout.

The invasion typically happens in September and October, but experts said the heavy rain was making it happen earlier than usual.
