CRAZED DJ Arafat fans smashed open his coffin and undressed his corpse at his funeral amid rumours he was still alive.

The Ivorian dance megastar died at the age of 33 last month when his motorbike smashed into a car in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

He was laid to rest on Saturday in a private ceremony for close pals and family only.

But hundreds of superfans turned up and tried to get into the cemetery, battling riot cops as tear gas filled the air.

Some managed to breach police lines, making it to the fresh grave where they unearthed the coffin.

Shocking footage shows men hurling the lid from the casket before appearing to undress the star, as several filmed on their mobiles.

One unnamed fan is quoted as saying: “We wanted to see the body of our idol before the tomb was sealed.”

Cops eventually dispersed the crowd and 12 people have been arrested over the shocking incident.

State prosecutor Richard Adou said: “A probe has been opened and will be made public.”

DJ Arafat was known for his distinctive “coupé-decalé” dance music that put hip-hop vocals with short, catchy rhythms.

He won Artist of the Year for the genre in 2016 and 2017.
