A MAN is fighting for his life after being smashed in the head with a bowling ball after “bumping into someone” at a bowling alley.
Damante Williams, 28, is in a coma after a savage brawl at Town Hall Bowl in Chicago on Wednesday.
The brutal punch-up broke out after the victim accidentally knocked into someone while on a night out, his mum said.
Shocking footage filmed by a by-stander shows the stomach-churning moment Damante is attacked.
A grainy mobile video appears to show two men grappling and throwing punches at each other.
The pair are then dragged apart as a crowd gathers to watch the fracas.
One person can be heard exclaiming “Damn! Oh my God!” as they continue to try to get at each other.
But then out of nowhere another man appears from the right of the screen.
MUM'S AGONY
He raises a bright yellow bowling ball above his head with both hands and appears to bring it down on the victim’s head with a sickening thud.
Damante’s devastated mum Tamekia told : “I can’t watch all of it because it’s too painful.”
He was rushed to hospital where he is now fighting for his life after being put in an induced coma.
Tamekia continued: “To my understanding, he didn’t even know these people – so why would you hit someone with a bowling ball in the head?”

She added: “Everybody knows a bowling ball is very heavy, so why would you throw it at someone’s head deliberately?”
The suspect is said to have fled the scene in a 2018 Range Rover and cops have now released a CCTV image of the man they are hunting.
Tamekia begged: “Just bring this person to justice.”
