PLANE CRAZY

9/11 anniversary – Melania Trump’s office blasts ‘ridiculous’ conspiracy theory her coat’s stitching looked like a plane flying into a skyscraper in official photo

MELANIA Trump's office has hit back at critics accusing the first lady of wearing a coat with stitching in the shape of a plane flying into a skyscraper, calling the theories "ridiculous".

A 9/11 tribute image uploaded by President Trump was mocked online by many who claimed the stitching on the back of Melania's coat resembled a plane flying into one of the Twin Towers.

President Trump shared a photo of himself standing beside Melania at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, on the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

He captioned the official snap: "We will never forget 9.11.01."

In the photo, Melania wears a custom-made navy blue Herve Pierre coat which features white stitching surrounding a button flap.

However, the image was taken last year when the couple visited the 9/11 memorial.

Critics were quick to jump on social media, with one woman tweeting: "I’m sure I’m not the first one to spot this but who in the world thought it was a good idea for Melania to wear this coat in the 9/11 photo.

"It legit looks like an object is flying into a tower or the Washington Monument."

Melania wears a coat in their 911 post that literally looks like a plane flew into a tower.

"Not to sound like a complete conspiracy nut...But does anyone else see a plane flying through a tower on Melania's coat?" another woman asked.

Did they fire all the stylists too or is Melania just the biggest troll ever??" one user asked.

Others were convinced the outfit was deliberate.

Did they fire all the stylists too or is Melania just the biggest troll ever?

One woman noted: "Melania never wears something by accident. She is deliberate.

"She wore a pussy-bow blouse after Trump's pussy-grab statement. She wore an 'I don't really care' jacket when she went to see children in cages.

"On the anniversary of 9/11 she wears this embroidered coat? WTAF?"

In response to the backlash, White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said: "It's ridiculous".

It's not the first time Melania has come under fire for her outfit choices.

Last year she wore a bizarre jacket declaring "I really don't care, do you?" during a visit to meet detained immigrant children separated from their parents.

The first lady was slammed by some for the outfit choice but the US president later defended his wife, saying the message was aimed at the "Fake News Media".

And some believe the choices are deliberate.

Shortly after audio of Trump saying "grab 'em by the p***y" leaked, Melania wore a pussy-bow blouse.

She also wore a white suit to Trump's State of the Union speech in January 2019, which some believed was a show of solidarity with the women's suffrage movement.
