Although the remains have not been positively identified, detectives believe they are are those of Cameron Bowers, 10, Preston Bowers, 5, Mercalli Jones, 2, and one-year-old Aiyana Jones.

Police suspect that Michael Jones murdered the victims in at the family home in Summerfield, Florida.

He then allegedly stored the bodies at his home and in his van for several weeks before transporting them to Brantley County, Georgia.

The family of Casei Jones had reported her as missing on Saturday and stated that they had not seen her for roughly six weeks.

Her husband was detained in Brantley County on Monday following a traffic accident and Casei Jones’ remains were found in the vehicle he was driving at the time, police said.

Cops did not say where the remains of the four children were found and it was not immediately clear how Casei Jones or her children were killed.

Jones and her children were last seen near Ocala in Florida and she was understood to have been driving a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.

Marion County police said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Michael Jones on second-degree murder charges.

“All we need to know is that’s evil, and evil did something, and evil needs to pay for what he did.”

Casei’s family reported she was missing along with her children on Saturday after not hearing from them for around six weeks.

Why they didn’t report her missing earlier isn’t known at this stage.

Her mother Nikki told  before her the bodies were discovered: “I've never ever been so scared.

“They don't know where she's at. They went to the house and she's gone. The house is empty.

“Casei is my baby, she was my last one. I don't want anything to have happened to her.”

She said her grandchildren were “my whole world, just like my kids. I don't know what I would do without any of them”.
