PRINCE Harry has revealed he feels so “overwhelmed” by the world’s problems that he sometimes struggles to get out of bed.

Harry, 35, and his wife Meghan Markle are currently in South Africa where the Duchess has spoken out on the stigma of mental health.

Meghan, 38, tackled the subject at a charity project — before wearing a headscarf for the first time in public on a visit to a mosque, like Kate and Diana before her.

And Harry then made his surprising revelation in Cape Town on the first stop of their royal tour.

He chatted to Christian student Peter Oki, 18, who said: “Harry said he often woke up and felt overwhelmed by too many problems in the world, that sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed in the mornings.

“But he wanted to use their platform to enable grass-roots change and to try and create a better society.”

Earlier, the couple visited Monwabisi beach and the Waves for Change programme, which helps kids with their mental health through surfing.

It was there that Meghan — who at the mosque also wore a full-length £300 khaki dress by Stroud made from recycled nylon — issued her heartfelt plea.

MEG ON A MISSION

Asked what was the most pressing global issue in dealing with the stigma around it, she replied: “It’s just getting people to talk about it and talk to each other, right?

"And you see that no matter where you are in the world, if you’re a small community or a township, if you’re in a big city — it’s that everyone is dealing with a different version of the same thing.

“Globally, I think there’s a bit of a consciousness crisis, and so the fact we’re able to be here together to see so much good work being done, just because people are willing to talk to each other about it and someone’s willing to listen, is huge.”

During a bonding exercise, the pair were asked to declare their personal strengths — but Harry cheekily ducked the task and asked her to talk.

When it was suggested to her it was dancing, she laughed: “Not that.” Then she said “parenting”, adding they were “learning and developing”.

She declared him “the best dad” and Harry — who with a loving “ahhh” — called her “the best mum”.

They also copied the surf mentors in a game of finger clicking and chanting.

After Meg returned to the High Commissioner’s residence to see baby Archie - with a farewell kiss from her hubby — Harry took to the waves of the Atlantic with the Royal Marines.

They have been helping Cape Town Marine Police catch illegal abalone snail poachers.
