BORIS Johnson suffered a fresh humiliation last night as he was given 14 days to explain his relationship with a former American model.
The Greater London Assembly (GLA) demanded to know information about the PM’s “personal, social and professional” contact with tech entrepreneur Jennifer Arcuri when he was London Mayor.
It came as one senior Tory said the explosive allegations revealed at the weekend “would have forced most ministers out of a job”.
And the family of the businesswoman insisted they were never lovers - telling friends "he sponsored her”.
THOUSANDS IN GRANTS
The Sunday Times claimed Ms Arcuri joined Mr Johnson on international trips and received thousands of pounds of grants when he headed to the capital.
Her company was sponsored for two events with taxpayers’ money worth more than £10,000.
And she joined Mr Johnson on trade trips to Malaysia in 2014, New York in early 2015 and Tel Aviv later that year despite the small size of her business.
He was also a regular visitor to her flat in east London.
Mr Johnson on Monday insisted “everything was done entirely in the proper way” over his professional dealings with the American.

But he refused to deny having an extramarital affair with her while Mayor.
Mr Johnson must now reply to the GLA’s oversight committee before October 7.
The body has the legal power to summon Mr Johnson to give evidence in person if he fails to respond to the letter’s request.
