THERESA May tonight came to a dark committee corridor to address her MPs before they voted to keep her in No10 by 200 votes to 117.
The Prime Minister pitched to save her job for 40 minutes, telling MPs they have to back her or face no Brexit or a chaotic Jeremy Corbyn government without her in charge.
She arrived just after 5pm to address her party faithful - or not as the case may be - in committee room 14. They banged on the tables to show their support for her as she went in.
And she told them that she will stand down before the next election if they backed her today.
The vote began 6pm, where all MPs were given a slip of paper containing two statements: "I have confidence in Theresa May as leader of the Conservative party" and "I do not have confidence in Theresa May as leader of the Conservative party".
The 300 plus Tories then casted their ballot, and put their papers into a box to be counted.
The Speaker wasn't able to vote, but his Conservative deputies were allowed to.
And two MPs - Charlie Elphicke and Andrew Griffiths were able to take part in the ballot too after having the whip reinstated.
Sir Graham then took the votes next door into another room and counted the slips immediately, with the result expected at around 9pm.
He was helped in the counting by his two vice chairs, Dame Cheryl Gillian and Charles Walker.
Sir Graham said today the PM was clear it was her "desire to resolve the situation promptly" - which is why the crunch vote will take place tonight.
There was talk that it could have been delayed until she returned from a Brussels summit later this week, but the PM was "keen to move forward as quickly as we could".

The PM had told him that "continuing speculation" about the leadership wasn't helpful.
The decision was taken at 9.30pm last night, when Sir Graham spoke to the PM, he said.
They decided to make the no confidence vote known this morning before the markets opened.
Sir Graham said that if Mrs May lost the vote then a leadership election would be arranged "rapidly".
Two or three rounds of voting among MPs would kick off "as swiftly as possible", with the first vote possibly by next Tuesday.
There could be votes every day until the number is whittled down to two - those would then be put to the Tory members.
Sir Graham said he hoped the first part of the process would be done before the Christmas recess, and members would vote in the following days.
