Theresa May’s Brexit deal ‘threatens national security’ and must be rejected, ex-defence boss warns

THERESA May's Brexit deal threatens national security and must be rejected by MPs, an influential MI6 boss has warned.
Sir Richard Dearlove has written to Tory chairs today telling them to throw out the PM's agreement because it could put lives at risk.
A letter from Sir Richard, who used to be the head of MI6, warns the Brussels deal put our security in "foreign hands", Sky News revealed.
He told local Tories to "ensure your MPs votes against this bad agreement" and should back a No Deal Brexit instead - where we went on to trade on World Trade Organisation terms.
Last year The Sun revealed how Sir Richard and Falklands war vet Major General Julian Thompson warned that the Five Eyes agreement with the US and Australia was at risk with Mrs May's deal.
They argued it would compromise vital British intelligence, threatening security.
The Five Eyes intelligence pact involves the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Under Mrs May’s deal, officials have agreed to share information including DNA, fingerprints and car registrations to fight crime, terror and cyber security threats.
The news comes as MPs started day two of a marathon debate on the Brexit deal.
MPs are set to vote on the PM's agreement on Tuesday night - where it's still likely to get slapped down.
