Boris Johnson backs Britain’s ‘fantastic’ troops and promises NOT to cut Armed Forces budget
BORIS Johnson today backed Britain’s troops and promised NOT to cut our Armed Forces if he gets to No10.
Mr Johnson said there was a “sharp distinction” between his stance and Jeremy Corbyn’s as he showered praise on the “fantastic” military.

Unveiling his blockbuster blueprint for Britain, the PM told reporters: "We will not be cutting our armed services in any form.
“We will be maintaining the size of our armed services."
It comes after reports that defence chiefs were considering proposals to slash the size of the British Army.
Top brass are also alleged to be lending a Royal Navy flagship aircraft carrier to allies of Britain over fears there may be further defence cuts, reports.

But rubbishing the rumours, Mr Johnson said: “We are increasing funding for our armed services – we are maintaining our NATO two per cent commitment and more.
“Actually we are increasing our funding by 0.5% of above inflation every year of this parliament because we believe in our armed forces.
CORBYN CLAIMS
Mr Johnson claimed that Mr Corbyn would see the armed forces “disbanded”.
The leftie-boss said that it would be “wonderful” if all countries laid down their arms, during a speech in 2012.
However, Labour has pledged to continue to spend at least two per cent of GDP on defence and “guarantee” that Britain’s defence remain “versatile”.
Boris lauded Britain’s military and said they were “loved” around the world.
The PM said: “The armed services of the United Kingdom are perhaps the most admired export that this country has in some parts of the world and they do a fantastic amount of good.
“I think our attitude is of supporting our armed services - protecting vets from vexatious cases against them that happened long long ago, when no new evidence has been produced, and helping military families with childcare.”
