IS Michael Gove already plotting his revenge on Theresa May after being brutally axed from the Cabinet today?

After being sacked this morning by Theresa May, the ex Justice Minister fled parliament to a bookshop in upmarket Kensington.

It was a mighty fall from grace for the former frontbencher who just days ago harboured ambitions of moving into No10 himself after throwing his hat into the ring for the Tory leadership, ruthlessly knifing Boris Johnson in the process.

He was pictured flicking through books in Waterstones with recess looming and much more spare time on his hands.

One of the sinister thrillers which took his fancy was the Blood Wedding by Pierre Lemaitre.

The “dark psychological thriller” centres on a character who is “haunted by the things she can't remember - and visions from the past she will never forget”.

The plot involves the lead character being suspected of murdering their boss.
