The business minister resigned from government after messaging two women and apologised for the 'untold distress' to his family
A MINISTER was forced to quit last night after sending TWO THOUSAND sex texts to two barmaids in which he called himself 'daddy', according to reports.
It's claimed the Tory minister demanded explicit photos and videos from two barmaids he met on social media, and described degrading sex acts in crude detail.
Married Andrew Griffiths resigned from Government and apologised for the “untold distress” to his family earlier this evening.
Griffiths, who became a father in April, sent barmaid Imogen Treharne, 28, and her pal £700 and offered to rent a flat to meet for sex,
Amongst the reported messages, it's claimed the MP wrote: “Take off the bra and panties… you’ve got Daddy in such a frenzy" and "Daddy is going to have to put some manners on you".
In other messages, it's alleged he told the girls: "I had a **** who I made dress up like a pig - piggy nose, ears, ****pig written across her forehead and a piggy tail".
It's also reported he boasted about being powerful in politics and told the girls: "I can be an evil ******* when I’m turned on.”
Imogen she was "shocked" by the amount of messages and said she felt "dirty".
The ex-Business Minister revealed he was “deeply ashamed” over the scandal.
He added that he will now seek professional help to deal with the issue in a bid to “ensure it never happens again”.
The revelation comes after wife Kate gave birth to daughter Alice back in April this year.
Weeks after she was born, Griffiths revealed the “horrific abuse” left-wing trolls has sent him following a Commons clash with Jeremy Corbyn.
The resignation will be a further blow to Theresa May who loses another member of her front bench team just days after Boris Johnson and David Davis quit over Brexit.
In a statement, he apologised for his behaviour that will cause “deep embarrassment” to the Prime Minister who he is “so proud to serve”.
Griffiths worked for the PM as her chief of staff in Opposition, working on environment, transport and family policy.
