MYSTERY PAIR SNAPPED

The image was taken just hours before Cameron Wilson was struck and shows two riders on a white bike matching the description of the pair who fled the scene

COPS are probing whether motorbike yobs involved in a crash which left a schoolboy with horror injuries were pictured online just hours earlier.

A Snapchat image taken near where Cameron Wilson, 10, was mowed down shows two riders on a white bike.

They match the description of the cowardly pair , Edinburgh — and the Triumph Daytona machine that was abandoned close by.

A source said: “It was taken moments before the hit-and-run and very close to where it happened. Furious locals came across it and passed it on to detectives.

“Police are now studying the image but they can’t yet be sure it is the same people involved because their faces are completely hidden.”

Cameron was struck on a pedestrian crossing as the two suspects tore through a red light on separate bikes.

The biker on the Triumph which hit Cameron was wearing a grey hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms and a white full-face helmet with a coloured design.

The description matches the rider at the handlebars in the Snapchat photo.

The other rider — on a red bike — wore a red and black ski-type jacket and white helmet with purple and orange design.

That’s exactly like the pillion passenger in the online snap. Both crash riders had scarves covering their faces.

Officers confirmed the Triumph was stolen sometime between 3pm and 6pm that day.
