Tributes to tragic Clydebank man who died in police cell as friends describe him as a ‘beautiful soul’

A MAN who died in a Clydebank police cell has been described as a “beautiful soul”.
Declan Gallacher, 24, passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Paramedics were called to the station but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Dozens of heartfelt tributes to Declan have now been posted on social media.
Georgia Griffiths posted a quote on Facebook, saying: “A beautiful soul is never forgotten.”
In another post, she added: “I can’t believe I am actually writing this, my heart is broken. This world is a cruel cruel place and you did not deserve to be taken so young. You deserved so much more. I only knew you a few months but you were such a good friend to me Dec. (my mukkar) and I will miss you forever, fly high. RIP.”
Declan’s cousin Ciara Aitken said: “Absolutely devastated to say the least finding out my cousin has passed away. You will be sorely missed, sleep tight.”
Garry Wilson said: “You were always smiling mate and giving us laughs remember our times in Mountblow you were always the loudest and funniest glad I got to see you as a man 3 months ago what a difference from that young boy. Rest easy brother taken too soon.”

Police say a post mortem is set to take place and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
The incident has been reported to the Police Investigations and Review Comissioner (PIRC).
