Meghan Markle and Prince Harry biography Finding Freedom becomes UK best-seller after 31,000 copies sold in five days

THE bombshell biography of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has become the best-selling book in the UK after 31,000 copies flew off the shelves in just five days.

Finding Freedom, which lifts the lid on the couple’s exit from the Royal Family, has also topped the Amazon US and UK best-selling charts.

According to data provider Nielsen Book, the book - co-written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand - sold 31,000 copies in Britain in the first five days of its release.

Their explosive book offers an insight into the Duke and Duchess’ life as senior royals and contains details of how they left the family – in a move dubbed Megxit.

It also includes details on the alleged rift between Harry, 35, his older brother William, 38 - and their wives.

FAMILY RIFT

Co-author Scobie has now revealed Harry and William barely speak – and cut contact completely for two months.

The shock revelation was made in a TV interview yesterday about the book, which was published on August 11.

Claims suggest tensions were inflamed because Meghan accused Kate of not supporting her in the “dark days” of her pregnancy.

Prince William was furious with Harry and Meghan for "damaging the Royal Family's reputation" by posting their Megxit plan online.

Scobie also said that in an astonishing outburst, Harry yelled "what the hell" at the Queen in a row over a royal aide.

He said: “The brothers had not spoken since around the time of the Sandringham summit.

“They hadn’t seen each other. That’s really going to take some time to heal.”

However, a source today told the Telegraph the suggestion that Harry "yelled" at his grandmother the Queen was "totally untrue".

They added: "The suggestion the Duke 'yelled' at his grandmother is totally untrue, and completely ridiculous, as is the suggestion that he said 'what the hell'."

The authors have now hinted there could be a sequel which will reveal more scandals.

BOMBSHELL CLAIMS

The final chapters of the 320-page book document the couple quitting royal life and then moving to California in April.

Co-author Omid Scobie, 39, claimed this week there were shocks which they did not include in the book because they could not fully stand up.

The book also does not cover the couple's first few months of life in LA.

Scobie said: "There are certain things we've just not felt strong enough in the reporting, that we haven't included in the book and it's possible that we may expand on those if there is an update at some point.”

Speaking on his ABC podcast, The Heir Pod, he added: "I'm very happy with what we have in there but of course any royal reporter would say that there are many things that they know that they just can't use at that particular time.

"If I'm being very honest this is a one book situation.

"Harry and Meghan's story is clearly only beginning in many ways but important to have something that captured a historic moment for the royal family and looked back at in many years to come."
