Salt Bae diners threatened with being kicked out of London Nusr-Et restaurant in 30 minutes as bookings are TIMED

DINERS forking out hundreds at Salt Bae’s posh London restaurant have whinged they were threatened with being kicked out in just 30 minutes as bookings are TIMED.

Customers wanting to splash the cash at Nusr-Et are warned when making their booking that they will only have two hours to chow down, the Sun can reveal.

This means the diner who famously spent £37,000 on his luxury meal forked out nearly £9,300 in just half an hour - or £308 per minute.

Diners have been quick to blast "short and blunt" Nusr-Et staff for hurrying them through their dinners - with one table claiming they were given a "30 minute" warning half-way through their meal.

Some diners even paid £250 for the booking itself after the sold-out restaurant had reservations touted online, adding insult to their short-lived injury.

One customer took to review website TripAdvisor to claim the eatery - which has a £1,450 gold-coated steak on the menu - is like low-cost furniture giant Ikea because it "looks good but is poor quality"

They said that while they "knew what they were getting into" with the eye-watering prices, they were shocked at the "poor service".

The reviewer wrote: "The steak was above average but not much more, I have been to better steak houses that have no reputation at all compared to the food here.

"We had no sides delivered and so I asked the waiter if they were on the way.

"At this point the response became very short and blunt as if I had made a mistake.

"The staff then came mid meal and warned us that we had 30 minutes (he was placing our sides on the table when he said it!) so that we could allow others to use the table as there is a quick turnover time."

The diner added: "It's like Ikea, it looks good but its poor quality."

Nusr-Et reservation staff warn there is a two-hour advised dining time when customers call up to make a booking.

While the rule is not uncommon in London restaurants, it has left diners perplexed due to the eye-watering cost at the eatery.

The review comes as the restaurant's salt-sprinkling aficionado left his posh London haunt for Saudi Arabia to open his newest outpost.

'IT'S LIKE IKEA'

Last Sunday was Salt Bae's final day in the capital before jetting abroad.

The move means the butcher-turned-chef won't be around to slice steaks and show off his salt-smattering skills tableside for adoring fans like Wayne and Coleen Rooney.

The menu features a £1,450 gold-gilded tomahawk steak, another £630 hunk of beef and a £100 burger - among other mega-expensive items.

The chef even charges £9 for a single glass of coke.
