Canada royal tour 2016 – what have Princess Charlotte and Prince George been up to?
We take a look at what the royal siblings have been up too since they landed in Canada
THOUGH they landed in Canada on Saturday the royal siblings have mainly been kept out of the spotlight.
Prince George and his younger sister, Princess Charlotte joined their parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on a week-long tour.
The pair have been absent from Kate and William’s main activities and have so far not been snapped out on any official engagements.
The family arrived at Victoria Airport where Prince George was greeted by the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
His younger sister on the other hand waved to the crowds and appeared to be in good spirits despite having a grazed knee.
Upon their arrival, the children were dropped off at Government House in Victoria with their nanny, who is part of the family’s 12-strong entourage.
Their parents, on the other hand, have been taking part in a number of Royal visits which has so far included Vancouver and British Colombia.
has reported that on the first day of their tour, the couple joked that they hoped their children were not ‘tearing up Government House’ while they were away.
Kate added that the children were ‘super excited’ about the trip.
She also told one member of the public that ‘she wished she could have brought the children with her, saying Prince George in particular would have loved the bright lights all over the parliament buildings’.
According to the royal schedule, tomorrow is the big day for the children as they are due to attend a tea party with military families in the gardens of Government House.
A spokesman said it would be a “really lovely morning with plenty of surprises for the children”.
The family’s last day will be Saturday when the Duke and Duchess visit abused women’s charity the Cridge Centre for the Family.
