Mum, 30, fighting for her life in hospital after being stabbed multiple times as man is arrested for suspected murder
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following the attack
A 30-YEAR-OLD woman is fighting for life after being stabbed several times.
Police were called to the junction of Shadowmoss Road and Cornishway, south Manchester, at 1.05am on Sunday following reports of a stabbing.
The woman, who is in critical condition, was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and injuries to her head and neck.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Tony Lea of Greater Manchester Police's City of Manchester Team, said: “Sadly a woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in the early hours of the morning.
“We have a man in custody in connection with the stabbing but we still need witnesses to come forward and help us with the investigation.
“I’m urging anyone who may witnessed the incident or has any information, to get in contact with us as soon as possible.”
