ANIMAL lovers have reacted with outrage after video emerged showing a man celebrating after he hit a spider with a dart.
The horrifying clip shows a large spider high on a wall which is left wriggling in agony after it is hit by the dart.

The man who threw the dart, who has a Scottish accent, asks "Who's the man?" as laughter can be heard in the background.
It is not known when the video was filmed but it was posted yesterday with the caption ";bullseye".
And while many viewers condemned the contents as cruel many others seemed to find it funny.

The clip was posted to the page of a Twitter user called @call854 but it is not known where it was filmed or by whom.
It begins with a spider being seen at the top of a wall, very near the ceiling, stood still in one place.
A few seconds later, a dart appears to go through the spider's body and lodge in the wall.

Loud gasping can be heard followed by giggling and the man, who is wearing blue shirt, saying “who’s the man.”
A woman, who also has a Scottish accent, says: “That is cruel man.”

Whilst on Facebook, Weir-Maciejak Jesse James shared the video today with the caption: “Look at this animal cruelty.”
Despite this, there was also many other social media users who were not offended by the video and praised it.
