Los Angeles mega-mansion with helipad, bowling alley and cinema on sale for £140MILLION after price tag slashed by 25 per cent
The home with 21 bathrooms, three kitchens, an infinity pool, a bowling alley and a home cinema is on a street that’s been home to the likes of Elvis Presley, Howard Hughes and Sir Alfred Hitchcock
THE PRICE of one of the world's most expensive homes - a swanky mansion with five bars, three gourmet kitchens, a helipad and an infinity pool - has been slashed but will still cost £140million.
The luxury property, which is set across 38,000 square feet in Los Angeles, has 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, as well as a bowling alley, a pick ’n’ mix room and a home cinema.
It's dubbed the "Billionaire estate" and comes complete with eight full-time members of staff, a collection of sports cars and a room just for sweets and games.
The swish pad was on sale for around £200million at the start of 2017 but has failed to attract a suitor with enough spare cash to buy it.
Now, its price has been slashed by a massive 25 per cent.
But if you were hoping to pick it up on the cheap you may be disappointed as the owner is still demanding around £140million.
The home was built by Bruce Makowsky, a handbag tycoon who builds luxury homes for billionaires.
He said: "After spending lots of time on mega yachts and large private jets that can sell from $50million (£38million) to $500million (£380million), it baffled me that no one was developing luxury real estate at those high levels for the super wealthy."
The entire project took four years to complete with 250 workers helping to bring Bruce’s vision to life.
The house is more family friendly than some of his previous projects with an interactive art installation of the Seven Dwarfs and a Hobie Cat sailboat on a deck ready for imaginary adventures.
Bruce spared no expense when designing the house and had no outside investors.
He confidently claims the mansion “comes with everything,” and it does appear to — including seven full-time staff that he will pay for two years.
Paul Czako of Gussman Czako Estates, who listed the property, said: “It helps that the house is fully furnished with a name brand.
“It attracts buyers from overseas and carries cachet.”
Bruce reportedly has interest from more than half a dozen wealthy buyers.
The audio-visual equipment in the house is high end, having been organised by Bruce’s own tech company.
The house also comes complete with its own exterior water features and external swimming pools.
While there is as of yet no buyer Bruce imagines that the place will be snapped up by a homebody type who doesn’t see much point in venturing out of their castle.
He said: “You’re close to heaven, and you never want to leave.”
