Queen’s busy schedule revealed as monarch, 95, attends ten engagements in just 19 days before hospital scare
THE Queen's busy schedule leading up to her night in hospital has been revealed - and it would be exhausting for anyone.
Her Majesty, 95, attended ten official engagements within 19 days before being told to rest by Royal doctors.
She was sent to be seen by specialists at King Edward VII hospital in London on Wednesday afternoon - a measure believed to have been taken out of caution.
Her Majesty was discharged the following morning — with Buckingham Palace saying she was in “good spirits” after “preliminary investigations” during her visit to hospital.
She was said to be reading her official government red boxes and is expected to recuperate for the rest of the week.
Here are all the engagements she carried out in October...
October 1
The green-fingered Queen planted a tree on October 1 to mark her Platinum Jubilee as she got to work with Prince Charles after her summer break.
She and her son planted a tree at the Balmoral Cricket Pavilion to mark the start of the official planting season at the 50,000-acre Scottish estate.
The 95-year-old Monarch also beamed as she met children from nearby Crathie Primary School.
October 2
The following day, the Queen was more than 100 miles away in Edinburgh for the opening of the sixth session of the Scottish Parliament.
It was the first time she had attended the ceremony without Prince Philip, who died in April aged 99.
During her speech, she spoke of the deep affection she has for Scotland - and recalled the "many happy memories" she and Philip shared there.

October 6
On October 6, the Queen held audiences with diplomats from Belize and Greece over video call.
The same day, she met members of the Canadian Army at Windsor Castle at an event to mark the 150th anniversary of the A and B batteries of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery.
She also had a telephone call with Boris Johnson.
October 7
The Queen then travelled to London to attend the launch of the Commonwealth Games baton relay at Buckingham Palace.
It was her first major event at Buckingham Palace since the Covid pandemic began and she was joined by her youngest son, Prince Edward.
October 12
On October 12, she looked majestic in blue as she attended a service of thanksgiving to mark 100 years of the Royal British Legion.
She was joined by the Princess Royal and was seen using a walking stick as she arrived via the Poet's Yard entrance.
It's understood she used the cane for comfort.
October 13
The Queen welcomed pianist Dame Imogen Cooper to Buckingham Palace, presenting her with The Queen's Medal for Music for 2019.
She also held three other audiences.
October 14
The next day, she travelled to Cardiff to open the sixth term of the Senedd.
While there, she waded into the climate debate suggesting world leaders are “irritating when they talk but don’t do”.
Her unscripted remarks were filmed on a phone after she opened a session of the Welsh parliament.
October 16
By Saturday she was back in England - attending Champions Day at Ascot racecourse in Berkshire.
October 18
The Queen then held a virtual audience with the new governor-general of New Zealand Dame Cindy Kiro on October 18.
The governor-general's role is to act as the Queen's representative in New Zealand.
October 19
On Tuesday, she had two virtual audiences during the day with the Japanese ambassador and the EU ambassador.
In the evening, she was on her feet to greet guests at the Global Investment Summit at Windsor.

She appeared in good spirits as she met with Boris Johnson, Bill Gates and Newcastle United’s new Saudi chairman Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan.
The following day it was confirmed she had "reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days" and her trip to Northern Ireland was cancelled.
