Prince Harry ‘snubs’ Charles AGAIN as Duke ‘rejects invitation to King’s 75th birthday party’

The latest invitation was thought to be an olive branch from the King

PRINCE Harry has reportedly snubbed an invitation to his father’s 75th birthday party — in the latest sign relations between the King and his son are still frosty.

The Duke of Sussex is understood to have received the offer to attend His Majesty’s party next week at Clarence House.

But sources told The Sunday Times the 39-year-old prince does not plan on going, as the gap between them remains wide.

Relations between Harry, the King, and brother Prince William have been cold since his repeated attacks on the Royal Family in his book Spare and his Netflix documentary.

Charles will celebrate his 75th birthday on November 14 and is reportedly having a small gathering of family and close friends.

Earlier this year, we revealed how Harry rejected an offer to spend the anniversary of the Queen’s death at Balmoral in Scotland with his father and Queen Camilla.

And Harry made only a fleeting visit to the King’s coronation, leaving shortly after.

The latest invitation was thought to be an olive branch from the King — and a sign he was ready to welcome Harry back into the family.

But the birthday snub is the latest sign there has not yet been a thawing of relations.

A friend of Charles told The Sunday Times: “When he gets to the end of another successful work day and thinks of his family, there will always be a twinge in his heart about a problem he hasn’t been able to solve yet.

“But he will be taking the long-term view. The current act is a challenging one.

“There are issues that aren’t resolved and there won’t be a rapprochement any time soon.

“There is the sense of a cooling-off period from the family that is under way after the aftershocks of the book and interviews.

“But that doesn’t change the King’s love for his son. He’ll never not invite his son to a family gathering, because that’s not who he is.”

Harry is not thought to have any plans to visit the UK. His next trip abroad is expected to be to Canada to promote his Invictus Games.

Californian couple Harry and Meghan were both spotted at the final night of singer Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency on Saturday.

Footage showed them arriving at the Resorts World Theatre, where they joined guests including singer Celine Dion in the VIP section.
