Wills manages a grin despite explosive claims he ignored Harry on day Queen died

And the latest claims aren't all the Prince of Wales is coming up against today

PRINCE William managed to grin this morning despite explosive claims he ignored his brother the day the Queen died.

The heir, 41, is today visiting Manchester's notorious Moss Side in an attempt to tackle gang violence in the area.

Wills had a smile ear-to-ear as he met volunteers working to eliminate youth crime.

He was snapped playing snooker at The Hideaway Youth Project and cheering for youngsters as they got creative with arts and crafts.

It comes just one day after Princess Kate opened up about her plans to try to develop a better future for British children, too.

But the prince's appearance comes just hours after Omid Scobie claimed Prince Harry tried to connect with him as their grandmother died - but he never replied.

That's not all Wills is coming up against today though - Netflix's The Crown is set to cause fresh chaos as the sixth and final season of the series hits screens.

Author Scobie yesterday dropped bombshell new claims in his latest book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival.

The writer, who is pals with Harry and Meghan Markle, said the 39-year-old sent text messages to William asking how he'd planned on travelling to Scotland - with the hopes of them going together.

But he was said to have heard nothing back - despite there being seats on the private plane used to travel to the Queen's bedside.

The author claims William "clearly didn't want to see his brother" and Harry was left having to find his own way to Balmoral.

Scobie writes: "With no further information from other family members or Palace aides, the Sussexes and their team had to operate in the dark.

"Harry was informed that William had already secured a flight with his uncles Andrew and Edward (and Edward’s wife, Sophie), but he couldn’t get in touch with anyone about joining that flight.

"'It was upsetting to witness,' said a source close to the Sussexes. '[Harry] was completely by himself on this.'"

Scobie lobbed more bombs at Wills, too.

He claimed the brothers' relationship is "beyond repair" as Wills views his brother as a "defector".

The author says there's "no going back" for the brothers and "absolutely nothing has changed" in their relationship since the release of Harry's memoir Spare earlier this year.

In it, he writes: "I was talking to a source quite early on in the process, and they called Harry a ‘defector’ and said that was William’s view.

"These were two men who once upon a time were firmly aligned in their outlook. One of them had to move on to also protect the crown."

Royal insiders were said to have been fuming over the claims around Wills ignoring Harry on the day their grandmother died.

A source told the : “It appears no matter what happens behind closed doors, even in a time of such pain and grief, that where the Royal Family are concerned it will one day emerge.

"Nothing is off limits with William and Kate appearing to be this author’s number one target. It only takes a few months for the knives to come out again and the wounds to be opened up.”

And while the Netflix series hits screens today too, Wills is said to not likely watch it.

The series notably features the event that shook the British monarchy to its core -- the death of Princess Diana on August 31, 1997.

The new season will controversially reenact the last few months of Princess Di's troubled life.

It comes as Charles today smiled as he met Bernhard Wrabetz, the Ambassador of Austria and his wife Joana Wrabetz during an audience at Buckingham Palace.

Meanwhile, a source has claimed Harry, 39, will watch the show - after he admitted to watching episodes in the past.

However, a pal of the prince told the  they would watch it first to make sure there was nothing that would deeply upset him.

At the same time, sources have claimed Prince William will not watch the show - and he never has.
