WHEN Kate Middleton stepped out at the Royal Family’s pre-Christmas event at Buckingham Palace, all eyes were firmly on her.

Not only was it one of the first times that she’d been out in public since the Omid Scobie book scandal began, but Kate – as always – was the epitome of regal glamour.

The 41-year-old Princess of Wales was snapped in a golden pink Jenny Packham designer dress styled with stunning jewellery, as she attended the event alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and her husband Prince William

But it was another accessory that had everyone talking, as Kate wore the Queen Mary Lover’s Knot Tiara – the second time in two weeks she’s donned a similar headpiece.

It was the perfect choice for the future Queen, as the tiara – one that was also favoured by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana – scraped her brunette hair back off of her face, giving fans a glimpse of her now infamous youthful glow.

And it seems the diamond and pearl piece could be Kate’s new secret anti-ageing weapon, as Royal fans have said she looks younger than ever, following fashion pros previous claims she looks “better now in her 40s than she did in her 20s.”

SUBTLE 'CROYDON FACELIFT'

Now a skincare pro has revealed the reason behind Kate’s tried and tested formula, as he touched on the ‘Croydon facelift’ trend – the common slang term for when a woman’s hair is pulled tightly back, producing the effects of the tightening treatment.

Amish Patel, an award-winning aesthetics practitioner and skincare expert at , told Fabulous: “Kate is looking flawless in these photos.

“With her hair off her face, you can really see how good her skin looks, which is partially make-up but most likely a combination of healthy living, good genes and a very good skincare regime.”

Nodding to the ‘Croydon facelift’ phenomenon, Amish said that Kate has put her own Royal – and very subtle – spin on it.

He explained: “Her hair isn't aggressively scraped back, which again can be a harsh look – it's gently swept up with the tiara adding further height. This naturally elongates the face and draws the eye up.

“As we age, we lose volume in our faces and the angular contours to the cheeks, jaw and chin that we once had can be lost.

“But Kate still has a lovely contour to the face and the sparkle and height of the tiara lifts and lights up the whole face.”

HAIR GOALS

Amish continued that while some people’s brunette tresses can add years, Kate’s locks are having the reverse effect.

He went on to say: “As we age, our skin tone changes and so dark hair can sometimes be harsh on skin tones and swept back, even more so.

“But here Kate looks positively radiant with a youthful blush to her skin, thanks partly to good makeup application and a beautiful canvas to work with.”

He added: “In these photos, we cannot see any wrinkles around the eyes or forehead, which we would normally expect to see in someone of Kate’s age, which could be down to the factors mentioned earlier.”

However, Kate’s tiara trick is far from the only one up her sleeve when it comes to turning back the hands of time.

And her second secret lies in her hair one more – this time, the length.

Although she’s experimented with a shorter do in the past, the mum-of-three seems to be favouring longer locks in recent months – leaning into a much more voluminous style.

Tina Farey, Editorial Director from Rush Hair, previously told Fabulous: “Growing her hair to a longer length has allowed her to maintain her beautiful, bouncy blow-dry that she has grown to love and sport over the years, with the hair in the most exceptional condition.”

FLAWLESS SKIN

Meanwhile, as Amish pointed out, Kate’s skin is blemish and line-free. So what items are included in her skincare regime to help curb the signs of ageing

According to , one product Kate favours above most is Heaven's bee venom mask from Deborah Mitchell, which has been hailed a “natural alternative to Botox.”

With a price tag of £359 per jar, it’s on the expensive side, but the results speak for themselves.

But if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, another of Kate’s rumoured hero products is the £47 Beuti Skincare's Beauty Sleep Elixir, a facial oil "fortified with 14 precious plant oils".

Or, better still, the former Duchess of Cambridge was once spotted nabbing a £5 Nivea face cream while shopping at Boots on the King’s Road in Chelsea.

While her final clever anti-ageing hack has been to totally transform her eyebrows – and take years off of her appearance.

HD BROWS

While many women’s eyebrows thin as the years go on, Kate has made sure hers do the total opposite – with dramatic results.

But why does it work?

Hair stylist, make-up artist and founder of Amy Bates told Fabulous: “If you have lines and wrinkles under the eye, the right brows can draw attention away from that area and make it less noticeable.

“In her younger years, Kate’s brows were thin and heavily plucked but now they are growing back thicker.

“I imagine a specialist has helped her using a technique such as HD Brows, where the natural brows are tinted and shaped.”

While she’s also made another subtle tweak to her make-up routine too.

Amy concluded: “Kate is still wearing eyeliner but it is much softer and not too dark.

“She now prefers smoky brown and bronze hues, which are more flattering. Thick lines can make people look older and Kate understands this.”
