Meghan and Harry’s ‘fight back’ plans for 2024 revealed – and how they’ll ‘show up’ popular Kate and William

With no signs of apologising, 'seismic changes' and a 'passion project' - the 2024 'Sussex comeback' will be one to watch

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry will “fight back” and seek revenge on Prince William and Kate this year, according to a royal author.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous, Royal author Phil Dampier opened up about the couple’s plans for 2024 and their ‘Sussex comeback’.

Not only are the Sussexes set to attempt to change the public’s perception of them, but we can also expect some rivalry between them and Will and Kate, through photo-ops and pet projects too

According to Phil, we can expect to see a lot of “rivalry” through photo-ops and pet projects between the once “Fab Four”, who now aren’t on speaking terms.

The royal pro explained that Harry and Meghan want a “new image for 2024, to show up William and Kate.”

He revealed: “I think Harry and Meghan have realised that their image in the last year has been totally negative and they are associated with moaning and whinging about the royal family and their lot in general.

“Probably advised by their PR people they look like they will play things differently in 2024.”

It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the Royal family has reached “rock bottom”.

But the duo don’t seem to be phased about the family breakdown, as recently, we saw Prince Harry beam as he spent time with two of his pals at a football game.

Discussing this, Phil claimed: “I’ve always felt Harry has cut a lonely and isolated figure, without some male friends he could go and enjoy a beer with. So a picture of him at a sports bar with comic actors Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton shows he’s trying to change that.

“He can talk to Rob about football as he’s co-owner of Wrexham, and just chilling out and talking about sports and men things should be good for him.

“When he’s been with Meghan at some concerts and other events he sometimes looks like he’s just been dragged along for the ride, but in this picture he looks genuinely happy and relaxed.”

While Prince Harry has been enjoying time with his mates, Meghan on the other hand returned to her acting roots with a cameo in a coffee ad.

Meghan took on the surprising role of an intern packing boxes in the advert, to which Phil noticed: “Meghan’s appearance in the coffee ad is trying to show her in a down to earth way, being on the same level as normal workers, and a brief glimpse of her gives the impression she’s not hogging the limelight.

“The Sussexes know that they have been losing the image war with William and Kate, who are streets ahead in terms of popularity.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex faced steep challenges in 2023 surrounding the release of Harry’s memoir Spare, but according to this royal expert, they still have the opportunity to “fight back” and thrive away from the Royal Family.

As a result of their recent appearances, Phil claimed that the pair will want to seek revenge to prove to the public that they are having a better time than we may think.

He shared: “They will want to fight back and show they can do good works, but also that they are enjoying themselves and can have fun.

“The former members of the so-called “Fab Four” aren’t on speaking terms, sadly, and so we can expect to see more of this rivalry through photo-ops and pet projects.

“William and Kate will just get on with the job, and they have royal tours coming up, including a visit to Italy in the spring.

“But Harry and Meghan can’t compete on that level and so will try and find other methods of getting their messages across and improving their standing with the public, both in the UK and the US.”

It turns out that Meghan could be set to relaunch her blog The Tig, which was once described as her “passion project”.

The relaunch of Meghan’s blog, which closed down in 2017 after three years, has been rumoured for some time now.

Ahead of the possible relaunch, Meghan’s team has reportedly filed for a new trademark for The Tig through the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Phil concluded: “There has been a lot of speculation about what Meghan will do next, maybe a lifestyle blog like Gwyneth Paltrow, but whatever she does, it would be best if they stop criticising the royals and find something more positive to do.”

Not only this, but Mark Borkowski, a top crisis manager in the UK, believes that 2024 has the potential to be “seismic” for Meghan and Harry.

Speaking to , he said: “Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry. I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they’re going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic or it’s going to be the undoing of the brand.

“It can only go one or two ways. It can’t stay where it is at the moment. Because it’s clearly not working.”

He added: “What comes next really matters, presumably that’s why they are taking their time. While a reconciliation with the Royal Family looks unlikely in the near future, further attacks on the monarchy would be a mistake, with the couple insisting they’re looking to the future.

“There’s talk of a ‘total system reboot’ and Meghan has promised ‘exciting things on the slate’.”

Not only this, but royal expert Tessa Dunlop told : “The couple appears to thrive on a high-risk strategy, but with so many people willing them to fail, they cannot afford to further squander their brand in 2024. The world is watching.”
