Princess Kate wished ‘a very happy birthday’ by King Charles and Queen Camilla as she turns 42
KING Charles and Queen Camilla are wishing Princess Kate "a very happy birthday" as they celebrate today.
A stunning photograph with her father-in-law at the Coronation was shared by the Royal Family this morning in honour of Kate turning 42.
The message, likely to have been written by a member of the King's social media team, read: "Wishing The Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today!”
In the snap, Kate is wearing her deep blue Royal Victorian Order mantle edged in scarlet and silver bullion, and crystal and silver thread work leaf embroidery headpiece.
The scene, captured inside inside Buckingham Palace after the coronation, also features the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh laughing with the Monarch.
Birthday wishes have poured in after the heartfelt message was posted on X from the official Royal Family account.

Kate is set to mark her 42nd birthday with homemade gifts from her three children and a birthday cake courtesy of her mum Carole.
There she will be made “a fuss of” and “spoiled” by William and her parents Carole and Michael Middleton.
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous about the princess’s celebrations, royal expert Jennie Bond said: “Luckily the children don’t go back to school until the 10th, so the family can celebrate the last day of the Christmas holidays and Catherine’s birthday at the same time.
“Last year her birthday coincided with all the publicity about Harry’s book, which was about to be published. This year things are looking much smoother for Catherine and her family.
"She has also weathered the storm of Omid Scobie’s book and I’m sure William and the children will want to spoil her with cards and special gifts.
“There is no doubt that the Princess would value nothing more than some handcrafted presents from her children.
"Perhaps their granny, Carole, will help them make a birthday cake for her - after all, Catherine has always enjoyed helping the children learn to bake.
“I’m sure Catherine’s parents would love to make a fuss of their daughter and it may be that William will want to treat his wife to a romantic birthday dinner, but with school starting the next morning, they are more likely to spend the evening sorting out uniforms and school bags ready for the start of term!”
It comes as previous birthday celebrations have seen the Royal mum-of-three gifted an eye-watering £121,000 jewellery set by devoted Prince William.
The Princess showed off the Olympic Cartier set at the 2012 London Olympic games.
It is thought to have been given to Kate as a 30th birthday present, although this hasn’t been confirmed.
Meanwhile, on her 40th birthday, Kate celebrated the occasion privately at home with her husband and three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
However. she released shared three photos that paid tribute publicly to Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria.
It comes after Kate's birthday last year was overshadowed by the release of Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare.
