The Princess of Wales has also not been seen since Christmas Day

PRINCE William is set to return to work after mysteriously pulling out of a thanksgiving service earlier this week as the palace moved to dismiss “wild conspiracy theories”.

Wills, 41, sparked crazed speculation after it was revealed just 30 minutes before he was set to arrive that he would not join other royals at the bash for the last King of Greece in Windsor.

Kensington Palace initially refused to elaborate on the reason for his no-show but cited a “personal matter” and urged people not to “panic”.

But it led to crazy theories about the royal couple being traded on the internet and social media X, formerly known as Twitter.

Last night the palace attempted to dismiss “wild conspiracy theories” that have spiralled out of control online in recent days.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”

Prince William has not been seen in public since he attended the British Red Cross HQ in London last Tuesday to discuss the war in Gaza.

The last-minute decision to pull out of Tuesday thanksgiving for King Constantine II came amid heightened fears for the Royal Family.

The Princess of Wales, 42, has not been seen since Christmas Day and is recovering following abdominal surgery at the London Clinic in January.

The King remains off work after his cancer diagnosis with no date set for his return to front-line duties.
