But when that marriage came apart, so did Meghan and Ninaki's relationship.

The pal claimed this unfolded after she found out new details about the Trevor and Meghan's rocky relationship.

She told the : "What came to light after Trevor and I spoke ended my friendship with Meghan. I think everybody who knew them both was in shock."

Ninaki and Meghan had been pals since they were tots and remained friends through high school.

She claimed it "was always Niki and Meg - we were so close-knit we came as a two".

Ninaki continued: "We were both honorary daughters in each other’s homes.

";We were like family. We had the kind of love you have for a sister."

Ninaki had been Meghan's maid of honour when she tied the knot in Jamaica in 2011.

The wedding was a four-day affair and pictures showed drinking with games on the beach in the run-up to the big day.

However, the marriage ended in 2013.

The pal said when she spoke to Trevor a month after their divorce, he said he "would have walked the earth to make their marriage work".

Ninaki then slammed: "I don’t believe she gave him enough of an opportunity. I think there was an element of 'out of sight, out of mind' for Meghan.

";The way she handled it, Trevor definitely had the rug pulled out from under him. He was hurt."

The pal claimed that Meghan also "changed" when she starred in suits - and used to turn down lunch with friends.

Meghan's 'failed' friendships

FIVE years ago a pal of Meghan Markle claimed she is not friend material and has always sought out fame.

An unnamed source told  in 2019 the duchess is "not a person you can actually be friends with."

They said Meghan was "the kind of person who wants to be friends with her stylist".

The source added: "Meghan's goal was always becoming a household name.

"She's insanely smart and poised, but very, very guarded. She's not a person you can actually be friends with. She's the type of person who is best friends with her stylist."

Then in 2020, Meghan allegedly had a falling out with her best friend  Jessica Mulroney.

The Duchess of Sussex was said to have ditched after she was at the centre of a Black Lives Matter row.

Mulroney was accused of using her 'white privilege' against a black social media influencer.

The celebrity stylist took to Instagram in the wake of the saga, with fans assuming she was making a dig at Meghan.

She wrote: "Thank you to our true friends for sticking by us. We could never have made it without you.

"Silver lining: we finally know the a******s who we thought were our friends. Best gift we could have ever been given."

In recent weeks we looked at Meghan's former co-stars on Suits.

Many of the Duchess of Sussex’s co-stars who attended her 2018 wedding say she is no longer in touch with them.

Having turned up to the ceremony with great fanfare, several of the stars say they’ve had “no communication” with Meghan since that day.

It comes after one of the cast said he was “too intimidated” to reach out to the Duchess, while another, who once dubbed her a “sister”, revealed they hadn’t been in contact since 2019.

The Duchess started talking with a different tone of voice and changed her mannerisms, before adopting a "new circle of friends".

Despite this, Ninaki said: "The end of our friendship was like a death."

This week Meghan was snapped enjoying a "perfect" ski trip with pals in Utah.

The Duchess of Sussex had jetted from her and Prince Harry's £11m California mansion to the snowy slopes of Powder Mountain.

Meghan, 42, escaped with pals Heather Dorak, Kelly McKee Zajfen and their families, while the news broke that Harry lost his High Court battle denying him British taxpayer-funded security.

'PERFECT' WEEKEND WITH PALS

While pilates business owner Dorak and former model Zajfen whisked their husbands and children away with them, it is not known if the Duke, 39, Archie and Lilibet were in attendance.

The trio were snapped on top of the mountains cosied up in beanie hats, big coats and sunglasses as the sun shone down.

Beaming from ear to ear, the group are said to have had the most "perfect trip" watching their youngsters "crush the slopes".

Dorak, who is the founder of Pilates Platinum, posted a photo dump on Instagram today of their adventure.

In the series of pictures, there was one of Meghan in a long black puffer coat with matching accessories and an all-black ski suit.

Dorak wrote: "Wow, what a perfect trip!! My heart is so full.
