PRINCESS Kate's uncle is "kicking the royals while they're down", Prince Harry's biographer has claimed.
Gary Goldsmith's entry into Celebrity Big Brother is said to have made the Palace anxious about what he could divulge about the royals and Kate's family.
Angela Levin, an award-winning journalist and royal biographer, told The Sun how Gary Goldsmith is following in Harry's footsteps.
"Everyone is trying to cash in the connections they've got," she said.
Angela added: "They're copying Harry."
The royal biographer claims Gary's recent celebrity venture is part of an ongoing theme amongst those close to the royal family.

She said: "We've got Kate Middleton's uncle on Celebrity Big Brother.
"We've got Earl Spencer making this book.
"It just feels like everyone's kicking the royals while they’re down."
Gary recently claimed that Prince William had offered to restore his relationship with Prince Harry after he stepped down as senior royal in 2020.

But Angela finds that hard to believe.
She explained: "Now I was really shocked about that because I've been under the idea that he didn't want to meet with Harry.
"That he was so furious with Harry he didn't want to see him."
Gary would not have spent enough time with the Prince to know this, Angela claims.
"So here we have this uncle saying something quite differently," she said.
The award-winning journalist added: "Find that perhaps not realistic or not true."
Gary inappropriately spoke about the future King and also failed to mention anything about his wife Princess Kate, according to Angela.
She said: "I think it's shocking, too, that he said that he wouldn't say anything about Catherine, or Will, as he's called him, which I also think is not appropriate."
Angela said Gary's problem is "he doesn't understand how to cope with" journalists and claims he's an easy target for interviewers to get information out of him.

Angela added: "Goodness knows what he'll be doing further down, because he needs to sort of talk about it.
"And he said that Catherine is lovely outside, and even more lovely inside.
"But next breath, what he likes to do is to disturb and upset everybody around him.
"Now, what sort of person is that?
"But I think it's very, very distasteful.
"And really it's a horrible way to present yourself."
In last night's episode Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu asked Goldsmith: "Where's Kate?"
Gary replied: "Because she doesn't want to talk about that, the last thing I'm going to do is... there's a kind of code of etiquette.
"If it's announced, I'll give you an opinion."
He added: "I spoke to her mum, my sister, she's getting the best care in the world.
Despite Gary’s reassurances, he has previously admitted he can understand why his relatives might be nervous about him going on the show.
Particularly some of the secrets that might come out during the long, monotonous and sometimes drunken nights when he’s getting grilled by fellow housemates.
Gary has previously said: “I think they [the family] could always really trust me to know that I’m going to play the game well.
“I think she [Carole, Kate's mother] will probably be watching me from behind the sofa, slightly anxious, but I do think if the best version that Gary turns up, she’d be very proud of me - that’s what we were hoping for!
“I have a self-destruct mode though, and my mouth runs away with me.
"So I’ve got opinions about opinions.”

Princess Kate’s scandalous millionaire uncle has been married four times and become the family’s black sheep.
Gary Goldsmith made a fortune in IT recruitment, selling his business Computer Futures for £17million in 2005. Now he is being paid a big fee to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.
The heavily-tattooed 58-year-old pleaded guilty in 2017 after assaulting his fourth wife Julie-Ann outside their central London home.
He was handed a £5,000 fine and ordered into alcohol rehabilitation.
Prince William spent a holiday with Kate at Goldsmith’s eight-acre hideaway in Ibiza, called Maison de Bang Bang, in 2006.
In a 2013 interview, Gary said: “People like to think I’m this black sheep, a bad boy. I’m not really. I’ve had my moments. I’ve got a good heart. I care about people.”
