Back in January, Kate Middleton, 42, announced that she had undergone a planned abdominal surgery in London.

Then in March, the royal mum-of-three courageously announced she was receiving preventative cancer treatment in a moving video.

Sitting on a bench surrounded by daffodils at Windsor Castle, she discussed her "huge shock" at the cancer discovery and explained how she had begun a course of "preventive chemotherapy" late in February.

Like millions of Brits, royal fan @AllexmarieHoll1 was left surprised after Kate went into hospital at the start of the year and wanted to show her support.

She wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Back in January when we were informed our beautiful Princess of Wales had undergone surgery I sent her a card with our (my family and I) sincerest best wishes for healing and of course an abundance of love.

“Today I received this beautiful acknowledgement and I can honestly say I shall treasure this my entire life.

“The envelope has Kensington Palace on the back lol hubby thought he was going to have to get his suit out for a garden party (silly him) but he is just as blown away as I am to received this beautiful, and much treasured card.

“Continued prayers and healing to our beautiful Princess of Wales.”

The royal fan attached a photo of the card she had received from Kensington Palace.

The message sent on behalf of the Princess Kate read: “Thank you for your kind well wishes to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate's cancer message had lots of hidden messages. It will save lives, says royal experts

“Your thoughtful gesture is very much appreciated.”

The royal fan revealed that she had sent her well wishers to “HRH The Princess of Wales, Clarence House, SW1A 1BA, United Kingdom.”

She added that she hasn't "stopped smiling” after receiving the sweet reply.

A fellow royal fan wrote in response to the post: “Wow this is such a beautiful response… You have a beautiful heart to have sent her a card which I’m sure meant so much.”

Another added: “That’s really something to treasure.”

Kate and King Charles are said to be "seeking solace and comfort from one another" and will be each other's "shoulder to lean on" after both being diagnosed with cancer, a royal expert has claimed.

Kate’s announcement came just months after King Charles revealed on Wednesday, January 17, that he had been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and was set to go to hospital.

At the time, the palace said his condition was "benign" and he would undergo "a corrective procedure".

Amid their ongoing health battles, royal commentator Jennie Bond claimed the pair, who have been growing "closer and closer" over the years, will take comfort in the fact they both have a "shoulder to lean."

The Sun previously revealed King Charles had an "emotional" lunch with "beloved daughter-in-law" Kate hours before she revealed cancer diagnosis.

"Charles and Catherine have been getting closer and closer over the years," the royal commentator told .

"He's had a lot of admiration for her, even before they both became ill, but adversity always has the effect of binding people so much closer together.

"Their illnesses are an unbelievable and shocking coincidence, so for them to have each other as a shoulder to lean on must be beneficial for both of them as they go through this difficult time together."

We last saw Kate looking “happy” and “healthy” on March 16 after she was seen visiting the Windsor Farm Shop with William.
