Glamorous Meghan, 42, has an enviable collection of designer watches and jewellery heirlooms that are expected to be given to the young princess.

Around £650,000 of the items have come from Princess Diana’s precious collection, while others were purchased by the Suits star.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s jewels also include her glittering wedding day jewellery and lavish gifts from Prince Harry.

Here’s how young royal Lilibet could be in line for around £1million worth of jewellery…

Diana’s Cartier Tank Française Watch – worth £500,000

Meghan has been spotted wearing one of Diana’s signature pieces, her Cartier watch, and it would have a hefty price tag if sold.

James Constantinou, founder of Prestige Pawnbrokers, said: “Diana’s Cartier small Tank Francaise in 18ct yellow gold, on matching bracelet, is a classic and timeless watch, as well as a functional piece of jewellery.

“Diana also owned a rounder Tank Louis, but stopped wearing it in the early 80s.”

The watch was a gift from Princess Diana’s father for her 21st birthday, and is thought to have been bought for £17,800 at the time

But James revealed its value has skyrocketed, as she said: “The connection to a well known admired public figure usually brings a premium in terms of values.

“There is currently much interest around Diana and this coupled with the downturn in usual commodities will bring savvy investors to the auction rooms, this will inevitably drive the price north.

“I would estimate the watch to fetch in excess of £500,000.”

Leading Diamond Expert, Maxwell Stone, said: “Worn by Meghan on her wedding day, this would be a heart-warming piece for Lilibet to inherit that she could possibly pair with her own wedding dress in the future.”

Lilibet could be lucky enough to be handed Meghan’s breathtaking wedding rings later in life.

Her engagement ring, which Prince Harry designed, is set with three diamonds selected from Princess Diana’s collection.

It was crafted by British jewellers Cleave and Company and the central diamond is from Botswana, it’s estimated to be worth £120,000.

Meghan’s wedding ring is a plain band made of Welsh yellow gold, also made by Cleave and Company – the official royal jewellers.

Prince Harry broke with tradition by also wearing a wedding ring, as male members of the royal family usually don’t – a platinum band with a textured finish.

Another piece of jewellery that we saw Meghan wear on her wedding day was a pair of Cartier stud earrings.

The studs are from the Galanterie collection, and are made from 18k white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds.

It’s estimated that they are worth £11,000, although this could have increased due to the royal tie.

The Asprey Aquamarine ring – worth £85,000

Lilibet could also end up with Meghan’s ‘The Asprey Aquamarine ring’ which used to belong to Princess Diana.

The ring is said to be worth a jaw-dropping £75,000 to £85,000 and was given to Meghan as a gift from Prince Harry.

We may have only seen Princess Diana wear the ring twice, but it was also a focal feature at Meghan’s wedding.

Who inherited Princess Diana's jewellery?

AFTER her death, Diana's sons Prince William and Prince Harry were left three-quarters of her £21 million estate — with the other quarter going to her 17 godchildren.

In a special “letter of wishes”, Diana explained that she was leaving her jewellery to her sons’ future wives.

The letter reads: “I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.

“I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion.”

Some of Diana’s most iconic gems were on loan from the royal collection, while others were not included in her estate.

Alexandra Michell, gemologist at of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, explained this dazzling piece was a “replacement engagement ring” following Princess Diana’s divorce from Charles.

The Duchess of Sussex was seen wearing the blue jewellery piece at her wedding reception.

When Princess Diana passed away in 1997 her priceless jewels were left to Prince William and Prince Harry, who divided up the gems to give to their future wives.

Another item of Princess Diana’s jewellery that Lilibet could own in the future is a £25,000 gold cuff bracelet.

Meghan was seen wearing the impressive piece at the NAACP Image Awards in California, and she previously wore it on her Australian tour with Prince Harry in 2018.

Butterfly studs – worth £50,000

Lilibet could also be the recipient of butterfly studded earrings that Meghan has been seen wearing on a number of occasions.

While the earrings may be small, they command a hefty price tag, with James estimating they’d fetch around £50,000.

He said: “The sweet butterfly yellow gold stud earrings, pave set with diamonds and sapphires belonged to a set which also included a necklace.

“Unfortunately, we don’t know where these were acquired from, but they made their first appearance in the mid-1980s, when Diana was touring Canada.”

Engraved Cartier watch – worth £4,800

When she worked as an actress, Meghan bought a Cartier watch to give to her future daughter

Before Lilibet was even born, Meghan had a sweet gift planned for daughter and the story behind it is so sweet.

back in 2015, Meghan said she hopes to one day pass down her £4,800 Cartier watch to her daughter.

Meghan bought the pricey Cartier Tank Française after learning Suits – the television programme she starred in – had been commissioned for a third season.

The Duchess previously told: “When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version [of the watch].”

She continued: “I had it engraved on the back, ‘To M.M. From M.M.’

“And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”

Yellow Gold Cartier Juste un Clou necklace – worth £24,500

We’ve previously seen Meghan wearing a yellow gold rendition of the brand’s nail-shaped Juste un Clou necklace accented with diamonds.

It’s one of the brand’s edgier pieces, the Juste un Clou – translated as “just a nail” was designed by Aldo Cipullo in New York’s 1970s.

According to Cartier, it “reflects the bold spirit of the era” and is worn by those wanting to make a statement that is original, independent, fearless, and free.

As for how much it cost, it would’ve set Meghan back a whopping £24.5k ($30,100).
