Prince Harry's memoir Spare was displayed on the "hometowns heroes" shelf at the glitzy bash, which celebrated the store's opening this weekend.

Meghan's appearance landed on the eve of the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death.

Bookstore co-owner and literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh said of the collection: "This is our local authors shelf when you first walk in.

"I want it to be when you first walk in so that authors who are local to the area know that this is their hometown bookstore.

"And we celebrate our hometown authors as if they were our hometown heroes, because to us they are."

Meghan and Oprah have been close pals for several years, and the famous talk show host was a guest at the Sussexes' wedding in 2018.

The friendship appears to have solidified since Harry and Meghan moved to their Montecito mansion in 2020.

The couple then sent shock waves across the globe throughout their sit-down interview with Oprah in 2021, during which harsh claims were lobbed at the Firm.

I know why Meghan Markle laid low until now after outspoken attacks on Royal Family, expert claims

Meghan told the US host she "couldn't be left alone" and "didn't want to be alive anymore'".

Before making a huge claim that the Buckingham Palace HR department ignored her pleas for help.

The couple also alleged that certain members of the Royal Family had speculated about Prince Archie's skin colour.

It was later claimed the royals were Princess Kate and King Charles, after Harry and Meghan's former pal  published his hatchet-job book Endgame.

Oprah has also publicly spoken about the pair and their fractured relationship with the Royal Family.

Ahead of King Charles' coronation in May last year, she told the CBS Mornings show: "I think they should do what they feel is best for them and their family. That's what I think.

"They haven't asked me my opinion."

Harry's explosive memoir Spare also saw Harry and Prince William's relationship take another sour turn after the duke launched vile allegations against his brothers.

Tensions may now be reignited as a paperback version of the sensational book is set to hit shelves in October.

Royal experts claimed its release could "dredge everything up again" and the "timing couldn't be worse".

Spare was originally published in 2023 and launched vile attacks on the Royal Family.

Harry cruelly alleged Prince William knocked him to the floor and ripped his necklace after heated words about Meghan.

And, during interviews to garner more publicity, the duke unleashed a litany of more digs at his now estranged family.

It comes as the Royal Family paid tribute to the second anniversary of the late monarch's death today.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were seen arriving at church to attend Crathie Kirk near Balmoral for a Sunday morning service.

The late Queen used to worship at the chapel on the Highlands estate.

Charles, 75, has spent the summer at Balmoral, where his mother died peacefully at the age of 96 on September 8 2022.

At Charles's side was Queen Camilla, who has supported him throughout the challenges of the past nine months.

The Royal Family shared their own tribute to the late monarch today.

A photograph was shared on their official Instagram account of Queen Elizabeth II, with the caption: "Remembering Queen Elizabeth II, 1926 - 2022."

Prayers will also be said for the King and the royal family hundreds of miles away at services in London's Westminster Abbey.

The abbey was the scene of the late Queen's final farewell at her funeral 11 days after her death.

Its bells will ring out to mark the King's accession anniversary, as is the custom.

Gun salutes are usually fired on Accession Day, but this year it falls on a Sunday when salutes traditionally do not take place.

The military tribute by at Hyde Park and the Tower of London has instead been moved to Monday.

Both regiments taking part were responsible for firing the Death Gun salutes upon the death of the late Queen.

Almost all of the soldiers and horses taking part played a role in the Queen's funeral and the proclamation of the King.
