PRINCE Harry and Meghan Meghan are said to be planning a third foreign tour before the end of the year.

The destination is likely to be somewhere in Africa, with Lesotho and Botswana, where Harry's charity Sentebale operates, under consideration.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gained favourable publicity on their trips to Nigeria in May and then Colombia last month.

Building on the success of the two tours they are now thought to planning a further overseas trip for some point later this year, according to .

An insider told the publication: "That's his world, that's what he's used to and that's what he knows. He can still add value."

Harry is also poised to embark on a solo trip to New York City later this month to "advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives", according to his team. his team.

Harry’s trip is thought to take place between September 23 to 27, during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week between September 22 and 29.

Harry will take part in a number of engagements, including with African Parks, the HALO Trust and The Diana Award.

The purpose of the trip is for the duke to "advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives",  reports.

Harry will also be promoting the work of The Archewell Foundation, the non-profit charity he co-founded with Meghan in 2020.

It will be his first visit to New York since October last year, when the charity hosted its first in-person event.

It comes after it was revealed the couple’s tour of Columbia cost the country Col$244,245,305 (£44,725.14), which included spending on security and internal transport.

The sum was released by Colombia's vice-president Francia Marquez, who organised the four-day trip, following a request by Senator Maria Fernanda Cabal.

Ms Cabal branded the quasi-royal tour, which took place between August 15 and 18, as “showmanship” and “wasteful spending”.

But the vice-president's office also revealed that Harry and Meghan paid for their own flights and accommodation in Bogota, as well as any general expenses.

The tour saw the royals take in the capital city Bogota, Cartagena de Indias on the Caribbean coast and the undisputed capital of salsa Cali.

The Sussexes met Jóvenes en Cali, a youth organisation in the city, at Unidad Recreativa El Vallado.

And the besotted couple joined the student dancers on the floor - even participating in a steamy salsa dance.

Meghan and Harry were seen packing on the PDA - with the Duchess grabbing her hubby's face at one point before the pair shared a passionate kiss.

In May, the royal couple made a three day trip to Nigeria.

Harry was on a three-day tour of the African nation to promote his Invictus Games for wounded veterans.

He arrived with his wife in the capital Abuja, when they attended a school event highlighting mental health.

The Prince also met wounded Nigerian soldiers in the north-west of the country.

Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals in 2020.
