Controversial Channel 4 doc that casts Queen Camilla as Harry’s ‘wicked stepmother’ set to air in weeks
The doc's broadcast was delayed amid fears over a public backlash
A SHOCK documentary will portray Queen Camilla as Prince Harry’s “wicked stepmother”.
The Channel 4 film suggests she spent 30 years honing her media image — but that the late Queen Elizabeth never wanted her to sit on the throne.
It is to be aired within weeks.
Sources say its broadcast was delayed by King Charles’ cancer diagnosis amid fears over a public backlash.
One said: “This is very much a pro-Harry, anti-Camilla documentary.
“It presents him and Meghan as victims of the family’s unkindness.
“It’s going to cause serious waves — and Channel 4 know it. They know this is hugely controversial. A lot of people aren’t going to like it, especially at Buckingham Palace.”
Producers of the film — titled Camilla: Harry’s ‘Wicked’ Stepmother? — contacted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California asking them to contribute.
But it is understood no one from the couple’s office responded.
Channel 4 said: “It will be looking at Camilla’s biography and background It is yet to be scheduled.”
In his book Spare, Prince Harry claims he and brother William begged Charles not to marry Camilla.
He wrote that he pondered whether she would one day be his “wicked stepmother”.
Spokesmen for Archewell and Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
