PRINCESS Kate's dignified Christmas carol service should teach Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a thing or two, an expert has claimed.

The Princess of Wales will host her annual service as she continues her gradual return to public duties following her cancer treatment.

Kate will preside over the Together at Christmas service at Westminster Abbey, which this year has the theme of love and empathy and will celebrate individuals who have supported others.

But earlier in the year vile trolls blasted Kate after she shared an edited family picture on Mother's Day.

Meanwhile Prince Harry laughed off rumours he and Meghan are heading for divorce during The New York Times' DealBook Summit.

Harry said: "Apparently we've bought or moved house 10, 12 times.

"We've apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it's just like, what?"

And broadcaster and royal biographer Hugo Vickers, 72, commented on how both Kate and Harry have handled rumours about them.

He claimed Kate is "so dignified" whereas the Sussexes need to keep "reinventing themselves".

Hugo told The Sun: ";Catherine, her whole approach is, is so dignified and so working within the system, if I can put it like that.

"Not competing with the King, not drawing anything away from what he's trying to do, but just adding a lovely feature to our Christmas life in the United Kingdom."

He continued: "Prince Harry answered his questions the way he could.

"I'm sure he's deeply irritated by the speculation that involves every aspect of his life whether he handled that well or not.

"That's up to him, I mean he did it in his own way, I mean. He was trying to laugh it off, which was fair enough."

Hugo added: "Prince Harry has all his life had to deal with rumors, as indeed he said in that piece, and we don't know what the truth of the matter is.

"The the media likes to speculate that if they don't appear together that immediately means there's a rift.

"It probably doesn't. It could do. I think it's much more a rebranding of their message.

"They always have to be unlike Catherine, for example, they have to be continually reinventing themselves and keeping themselves in the public eye.

How Meghan and Harry are investing their Netflix millions

HARRY and Meghan have begun investing their Netflix millions in a property portfolio.

They have bought a new home in Portugal, around the corner from Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband.

But the Sussexes, who have been spending an increasing amount of time apart, do not plan to live in their new pad, The Sun understands.

It is not known if the property will be rented out, used for Airbnb-style holiday lets or used purely to park money.

But it is seen as the first step of putting earnings from their TV and book deals into a global property empire.

“They’re being smart with their money,” a source said.

They pocketed £75million from streaming giant Netflix where they laid into fellow royals in a six-part series.

Meanwhile Harry, who got a £15million advance for his autobiography Spare, also inherited £8million from the late Queen Mother after turning 40 in September.

Palace insiders have been concerned about what will happen when the Sussexes run out of cash.

They have huge overheads, forking out a fortune on security in the US and for when Harry visits the UK.

And they are still paying a mortgage on the £11million Montecito mansion they bought after quitting as working royals in 2020.

Insiders say the Portugal home will be part of a financial portfolio which will include more real estate.

"It may well be that they are playing to their skills, he with things like Invictus Games, and when he relates to kids, children, you know, playing with them and so forth.

"He's very good at all that from his royal training, if you like, a sort of semi royal approach to things.

"Meghan is much more the red carpet, the you know, the glitzy Hollywood style.

"And you know she's comfortable in that, and he's comfortable doing the other things. So maybe that's what they're up to."
