The shirt — which he wore at Sandringham over the holidays — may be a hand-me-down from brother George, 11, as it carried the logo of Cazoo, which stopped sponsoring Villa in 2021.

Louis’ dad William, 42, has been an avid supporter of the Midlands club, nicknamed The Villans, since he was at school. He has also taken George to watch them play.

The whole family are believed to be football-mad. Mike Tindall — husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara — recently revealed on his podcast that George is a Villa fan who loves a kickaround in the garden.

Louis and George also play football for local teams, with their parents often cheering them on from the sidelines.

We revealed on Boxing Day that George lined up with his dad in a traditional pre-Christmas match with locals for the first time.

In 2020, Wills insisted his eldest son could support whoever he liked. He said: “I’m letting him choose his own way.” But he admitted having “concerns” about George leaning to Chelsea when he was younger.

This comes as football-mad Prince George lined up with his dad William to play in a traditional festive match for the first time.

Father and son were cheered on from the sidelines by the Princess of WalesPrincess Charlotte and Prince Louis at a pre-Christmas kick-about.

They played on the same team in the annual match between the Sandringham estate workers and neighbouring villagers.

Wills, 42, is a keen Aston Villa fan and has taken George, 11, to Villa Park and also to cheer on England at Wembley.

They were also pictured jumping with joy when Cole Palmer equalised for England in the 2-1 defeat by Spain in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin in July.

In previous years, Prince Harry has joined William for the friendly match — but the last time the brothers took to the field is believed to be in 2016.

Wills and George were in the team wearing blue, with Wills having number 18 on his shirt, spectators said.

The Prince of Wales almost scored a goal as George was hailed by onlookers for energetically running around the pitch.

An insider said: “It just looked like healthy father-and-son bonding time.

“There were other children playing and it was all good fun and light-hearted.
