Passed down to Kate by William upon their engagement in 2010, Princess Diana’s engagement ring encapsulates both history and beauty, making it Kate’s most iconic piece of jewellery. 

Stephanie said: “Diana’s engagement ring is truly a beautiful piece of jewellery. It’s a 12-carat oval cut Ceylon sapphire, set in 18-karat white gold and has an estimated value of £300,000 today.”

The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace is one of the most extravagant pieces of jewellery we’ve seen on the Princess of Wales

It’s a platinum and diamond necklace that the Nizam of Hyderabad gifted to Queen Elizabeth II in 1947.

Stephanie added: “The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace is a truly delicate and extravagant piece. 

“It features 13 emerald-cut diamonds and a pear-shaped centre diamond and is rumoured to be the Royal family's most expensive piece, estimated at around £66 million.”

Stephanie shared: “The gold charm bracelet we often see Kate in was a touching wedding gift from the Duchess of Cornwall and holds a lot of sentimental value.

It has been spotted adorning the head of the Princess of Wales on several occasions.

Stephanie shared: “Kate has been spotted wearing her promise ring recently, and it’s an extremely beautiful yet understated piece of jewellery. 

“Featuring garnets of William and Kate’s birthstones, its estimated worth is around £2,000.”

Maple Leaf Brooch

The Maple leaf broach that has been spotted adorned on the jackets of Kate was given to the Queen Mother as a gift from her husband, King George VI in 1939 and has remained a mainstay in the royal jewellery collection.

The jewellery expert continued: “The maple leaf broach is made from platinum and covered in diamonds in the shape of Canada’s distinguishable emblem. 

“Its expert craftsmanship and story mean that it is estimated to be worth around £100,000.”

New Zealand Fern Brooch

The New Zealand Fern brooch is another gift passed down generations through the royal family and spotted on the Princess of Wales herself. 

The silver tree represents New Zealand and was gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by Lady Allum in 1953.

Stephanie added: “The Princess of Wales’ selection of royal brooches are admirable and beautifully made, particularly the New Zealand Fern Brooch, made from platinum and encrusted with diamonds, with an estimated value of £25,000.”

STEPHANIE Tyler, jewellery expert at Purely Diamonds, said: “Kate’s most iconic pieces of jewellery are estimated to be worth a whopping £68,435,850 overall. 

“Her jewellery collection is admired all over the world, with some of her pieces being recreated for less. 

“However, these replicas do not represent the craftsmanship and history behind all of the Princess of Wales's treasures.”
