I lead a busy lifestyle, balancing my workday with competitive football and strength training, so I’ve been interested in seeing whether personalised vitamins would help my routine. Admittingly, I’m clueless about what to take and often find swallowing pills during or after meals unenjoyable.
When I first tried Nourished months ago, I was intrigued by how easily it delivered all my essential nutrients, and eating gummies was way more enjoyable than swallowing pills. After a month, it helped me stay consistent with taking vitamins.
This time around, I wanted to see whether it really could help me achieve specific health goals. Therefore, I decided to test out the Personalised Stack, Nourished’s bespoke vitamin service for another month.

What is Nourished?
Based in Birmingham, Nourished is a nutritional brand that is known for its premium personalised vitamin gummies which combine seven different vitamins into one.
After filling out an online questionnaire, a personalised vitamin stack is designed that caters toward’s an individual’s lifestyle. Its unique patented 3D printed technology converts the vitamins to gummies and everything is plant-based, sugar-free and sustainably packaged.
In addition, Nourished also offers pre-packaged vitamins and recently released its first collagen range, .
Founder Melissa Snover said about the launch: “We've crafted this with the busy, health-conscious person in mind. It's a delicious, practical way to incorporate collagen into your routine, without compromising on your dietary choices.”
Who founded Nourished?
Melissa Snover is the founder of Nourished and before it, she owned a confectionary company that made the world’s first 3D-printed gummies.
She was travelling with a pill box full of vitamins when it spilled over in an airport and this gave her the idea to find a better way of taking vitamins. Utilizing her background, she founded Nourished after spending 18 months working with healthcare professionals on encapsulating the formula of vitamins into gummy form.
“We blend the active ingredients into a specific flavour gummy formula and we currently have 35 different active ingredients,” Melissa said to us. “We can combine each one into a bespoke personalised layer.”

How does Nourished work?
Each custom stack is determined by a quiz on Nourished’s website which goes through your daily habits and determines what nutrients you need. After filling out basic details, the quiz begins by asking you about your daily exercise routine, and how you’re currently feeling before exploring your diet and medical history.
It’s fairly easy to fill in as there are multiple answers to pick for each option, however, since there’s no text box, you won’t be able to write a written response to the questions if you wanted to specify more details.
The final stage of the questionnaire asks you to pick two priorities to focus on, which will become the goals your stack will cater to. You can choose physical attributes like losing weight or healthier hair, oe mental priorities like improving your memory and managing stress.
I picked ‘more energy’, as I’d like to stay focused throughout the work day, and ‘improve performance, endurance and recovery’, to aid my fitness routine. You can only pick two goals, which is a shame as it can be limiting, however, there’s a big variety of priorities available.
There are nine flavours you can choose with sweet and sour options for each. I opted for sour watermelon because I knew it was a flavour I could consume every day.

My stack
After taking the quiz, Nourished designed a custom stack for me that consisted of eight layers of vitamins. My stack included Tart Cherry, Vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Beetroot, Cordyceps and Maca Powder.
Some of the vitamins weren’t new to me — Vitamin B12, for example, which I have taken before to boost my energy levels — but quite a few ingredients were new to me.
Cordyceps was a new one for me and info from Nourished showed that it’s a fungus used to boost energy levels, while Maca Powder was included for its ability to strengthen bone density.
I was slightly surprised that my stack didn’t include Vitamin D, which I often take and would’ve preferred to include in my gummies over other nutrients, but I overall was pleased that mine included a mix of high-quality vitamins.
The vitamins arrived in a box with each gummy individually wrapped in sustainable compostable packaging, with my name and expiry date printed on. The packaging makes it easy to toss a few packets into your bag when you’re travelling. It’s definitely way more convenient than carrying a pill box and bottle of water around.

How does it taste?
The taste was pretty spot on for sour watermelon and left no weird aftertaste in my mouth. It’s considerably thicker than a typical gummy and has a chewier texture that sets it apart from regular multivitamins, so it could be offputting to some. With that being said, I didn’t mind the chewiness and consumed it easily within a matter of seconds.
When do you take it?
It's often difficult to figure out when to incorporate vitamins into your routine as most pills can only be swallowed with a glass of water and require being taken before or after food.
With Nourished, there’s no need to worry about this as it can be taken anytime you want on its own. Therefore, I found it really easy to integrate into my daily routine. If I missed taking one in the morning, then I could just take it another time in the day. It worked in the morning as a start to my day, or in the evening after dinner.
What benefits does Nourished give?
The first priority I picked was to increase my energy, particularly during the workday as I often experience dips of tiredness in the afternoon. When I took the Nourished vitamins in the morning, it gave me a slight energy boost as the gummy felt like a sweet treat despite it being sugar-free.
I’m a caffeine addict and rarely have a day without an espresso, but throughout the course of a month, I actually had a few caffeine-free days and was surprised that I didn’t feel as tired as I used to feel.
While I need to take the vitamins for at least three months to really see whether it benefits me, I enjoyed experiencing natural energy boosts without a double espresso.
I’m physically active about five times a week so I wanted to see whether Nourished improved my sports performance while lifting in the gym or playing football. I tried to gauge this by measuring it up against my main training goals; increasing my strength and endurance.
While it was difficult to really see whether the supplements alone had a major impact on my performance, the vitamins did give me an energy boost which allowed me to focus more precisely on my form and I stayed more switched on during a game.
It is important to note that the main factors in improving performance are a healthy, balanced diet and that supplements alone will not guarantee this.
Another unexpected benefit is that I’ve napped more in the past month than ever. While this could be from the fact that I’ve taken more rest days, my body feels more relaxed and less tense the days after I’ve worked out, indicating that my recovery has improved.
How much does Nourished cost?
The one downside to Nourished is that it's pricier than other multivitamins and personalised vitamin services. One personalised stack from Nourished is priced at £39.99, but new members can now save 30% off their first custom stack with the code SUMMER30, bringing the price down to £28 with free shipping.
You can also save 10% when you subscribe and subscriptions are available every 4 weeks, 12 weeks or annually.
You can also shop pre-packaged vitamin stacks from just £15 up on Nourished’s site. While it's pricy, the price reflects its unique, science-backed printing technology and high-quality ingredients.
Personalised vitamin service charges from £14.95 for a pack of 30 personalised multivitamins, while starts from £25 a month.
Nourished personalised vitamins: the verdict
This is my second time ordering a personalised stack from Nourished and towards the end of the month, I was sad that my stack had ended.
Again, I enjoyed that it was extremely convenient to take and fit easily into my routine. Its price is definitely not cheap, but I think that it’s worth it when you take into account its 3D printing production method, a mixture of scientifically-backed ingredients and ability to help with long-term health goals, which is always a worthy investment.
