IF you missed the hooded blanket craze last winter, don’t fear —there’s a new cosy contender competing for your custom. Enter the Kuddly Hooded Blanket.
We've done a Kuddly review to see if it can compete with the best hooded blankets on the market.
Kuddly is a comfort specialist with a range of bedding, blankets and cosy wear to keep you wrapped up, warm, and relaxed at home.
Its hooded blanket is one of the more premium options available on the market and is looking to compete with last year’s cosy king, the Oodie.
A hooded blanket is a versatile and cosy piece of loungewear designed for warmth and comfort. It combines the features of a traditional blanket with those of a hoodie, featuring sleeves, a spacious hood, and convenient pockets.
Hooded blankets have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their practicality and cost-effectiveness. They provide an efficient way to stay warm without the need for central heating or devices like electric blankets or free-standing heaters.
As there won’t be any extra expenses after your initial purchase (other than the cost of washing), the Kuddly Hoodie Blanket offers a relatively affordable option for people trying to stay warm on chilly winter nights.
So with colder nights on the way and energy prices still high, is it time for you to join the comfort revolution, and if so, is Kuddly the right blanket for you?

Kuddly review: quick summary
Overall, there’s not much to complain about when it comes to the Kuddly Hoodie Blanket.
It’ll keep you warm in the evenings and should help towards minimising your energy bill, it comes in an array of colours (not that you’ll be wearing it outside very often), and it’ll likely be the softest addition to your wardrobe.
The Kuddly Hoodie Blanket boasts a breathable MicroCool™ teddy fleece exterior that's exceptionally soft and easy to maintain.
It features a comfy sherpa fleece interior and like the Oodie it is entirely made up of ethical, vegan materials. My girlfriend’s has been well worn and endured multiple washes without losing any of its softness to date.
It’s easy to wash, durable and sports an extra-large pocket for packing with snacks on those dreary winter nights.
My girlfriend (5'2") and I (6ft) both have the same size and the oversized fit is super comfy for us both. The one size fits all style is based on a typical 6XL hoodie, so should suit most with plenty of room.
The choice of styles and designs may be more limited than some of Kuddly’s competitors, but there's still a good amount to choose from, and if you’re not keem on being covered in polka dots or dinosaurs, there will still be a suitable option for you; mine came in a tasteful charcoal grey that should be palatable for even the most uncompromising fashionista.

First impressions
When your Kuddly hooded blanket arrives, you may be forgiven for thinking you’ve accidentally purchased a pillowcase or pair of slippers.
The vacuum packaged parcel that arrives is so compact that there's a a degree of astonishment when an enormous, silky soft hooded blanket erupts from its implausibly tiny vessel.
The branding is suitably cutesy and sweet; a sleepy smiley face adorns the mesh carrier bag that comes with your hoodie, which gives you a few options for storage if you’re running low on wardrobe space.
If you’re converting to Kuddly from its biggest competitor, the Oodie, you’ll note several small similarities.
The biggest difference I could find is that the Oodie is perhaps the chunkier of the two, while the Kuddly airier and more breathable. However, this doesn’t take away from the Kuddly’s toasting abilities at all.
Performance
The Kuddly Hooded Blanket is warm — as in really, really warm.
If, like me, you're fairly new to the world of wearable blankets, you may be slightly dubious about the benefits, but I can honestly say this has saved me at-least a few degrees on the thermostat.
The fit is one size fits all, which is another way of saying super oversized. You could probably fit two grizzly bears inside and have plenty of room to spare.
If you choose to add this into your dinner attire, be warned you may end up washing soup off the cuffs rather regularly as the sleeves are incredibly long.
How much is a Kuddly Hoodie?
The Kuddly hooded blanket has a RRP of £89. However, it is currently giving you a saving of £40.
There are amazing discounts available for multipacks: if you buy a which comprises four hooded blankets, it'll cost you just £89 — that's £22.25 per blanket.
Meanwhile, if you buy a (two hooded blankets), it's £59, or £29.50 each.
- Family Pack,
£236£89 (£22.50 per hooded blanket) from Kuddly - - Twin Pack,
£118£59 (£29.50 per hooded blanket) from Kuddly -
How to wash a Kuddly hoodie
If you become as obsessed with your Kuddly as I have, then you'll need to wash it at some point.
To ensure it stays soft, it's best to use a gentle washing powder designed for delicate fabrics like wool or silk. Hand washing is the preferred method for maintaining its softness, but if you must use a machine, select a cool cycle to minimise any potential damage.
The hooded blanket can’t be tumble-dried and does take a little while to dry when hanging indoors.

Are Kuddly Weighted Blankets good?
This was my first time testing a weighted blanket so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.
Thanks to my girlfriend, my flat is decked out in an assortment of blankets, comforters, throws and quilts, and I assumed this new addition would be fairly similar. Oh how I was wrong.
Throwing a nice quilt over yourself in the evening might give an added level of comfort while catching up on Masterchef, but the Kuddly weighted blanket is a completely different experience.
The standard blanket weighs 4.7kg which provides an incredible sense of security and calmness as soon as you get under it. The added weight also means the blanket can double nicely as a kettlebell when stored in the mesh carry case.
The blanket is made of an ultra-silky polyester that rivals the softness of Kuddly’s hooded blanket. It can be washed by hand or on a cool machine wash and needs to be air-dried.

The standard blanket retails at £99 and is currently on sale for £49. It also comes in a 7kg king-size version, which right now is reduced from £112 to £59.
The verdict: are Kuddly hoodies good?
It may not be the cheapest option available, but the Kuddly’s quality and comfort is undeniable — it's a solid choice for keeping you toasty this winter.
